what exactly is the purpose of these things. don't tell me it's to find stolen vehicles or track crimes or whatever because nobody's buying that.

worst larp ive ever seen
no engineer would be on main in their ide at any point
firmware for any surveillance project like that is not going to let an engineer have a third party Prettier extension editing anything
retard
>>
>>109475334
so you sold your soul for a quarter mil / year?
>>
>>109475326
i never said any of that, i'm fine with surveillance. problem is our government is compromised by israel so the definition of 'crime' is likely to shift to encompass antisemitism and this technology will probably be used to facilitate the pursuant crackdowns on that... your bizarre strawmanning in reaction to a simple question is a red flag too.
>>
>>109475269
Why won't you leak the source code?

>>109475269
How many contracts are you making with local governments and police departments to put your cameras everywhere?
Why are so many of your cameras unsecured?
Why are cops able to use your cameras to stalk their ex-lovers?
>>
>>109475310
That is the purpose. What do you think they are fucking doing with the blurry ass footage? Seriously, I've seen people say "oh but 70% are false positives" thats basically the same fucking shit cctv is anyway. It's most likely used to track vehicles fitting specific models if someone committed a crime with that vehicle tracking from point A to B. I can't really see how the cameras that are being used would be even useful for tracking plates anyway.
>>
>>109475873
why are they so secretive about it then? can't they be more open about this if that was really their purpose?

me too except I get paid way less

why don't you tour around the round end of a noose you dumb fucking bitch?
I'm 100% confident you could copy flock's entire tech stack in a month using claude but you're not going to be able to copy their business model without shady jew money
who gives a shit about their source code. Use opus to hack them if that's what you're looking for
>>
>>109475842
If he doesn't run uname - v or a and post a screenshot we don't know. I would assume just by logic, it's an old screen shot based on that. I doubt they haven't updated kernel in 2 years... But companies can be retarded
>>
>>109475882
the “crimes” in question involve associating with the wrong people or posting the wrong opinions online
>>
>>109475882
It's for tracking criminals why would they be open about it so the criminals could avoid it? The only thing thats really retarded is how they aren't secure but it might be because the police are a bunch of fucking retards so making it harder to secure also means training retard police officers.
>>
>>109475909
This is moronic because if that were true their are MUCH MUCH MUCH easier ways to go about following people around. Stupid fucking morons.
>>
>>109475904

did the behavior of that part of the human race specifically increase the necessity for surveillance in american sub-urban neighborhoods?

is it also good for the profits of the flock company?

would flock company advocate for increasing the ethnic diversity in middle class historically white, low-crime, high-trust neighborhoods?

would such increase in diversity create conditions to help sell more of the flock company product?

does increased ethnic diversity create conditions for necessity of state of the art mass surveillance that the flock company can address?

I used to be a player, but it's lost its charm. I still fuck the occasional zoomer. Honestly, I feel I'm just drifting at the moment. But that's more of a me issue. The internet is still awesome to me, and I try to learn new things every day, from everyone (young, old, and my age). I was lucky to be born into privilege. But I don't have that stupid drive most of my family members have, where nothing is ever enough. I'm actually transitioning at my old age from business to software engineering. Going back to uni at my old age. But I was always attracted to CS (because of family pressure, I went into another career). I got a few online certs and read a lot. I always kept it as a hobby. After typing all this out I can see the irony of saying money is overrated. But I really believe and stand by the post I made.

>>
>>109481944

You see your entire post is exactly how real internet users see the internet. If you aren't an oldfag 4channer or internet user I will grant you that. I feel like very few people even the most "online" zoomers aren't real internet users just passive slaves who do nothing. I respect those who view and actually use the internet even if they are old or young.

No one is going to stop and question why the police want the footage. Why exactly would they? Whats on the footage thats going to harm someone? Nothing.

Oh and lets not forget that the CCTV people are talking about aren't even related to businesses because the government puts up CCTV all over the place already. You fucking retarded fuckhead. Then as far as your images goes this can be applied to literally fucking everything now.

Some do, some don't. I don't mind tattoos as much. I don't do app dating. I'm old school and just talk to girls I like (hit or miss). Kek, there is a bit of everything in the world. I do have highs and lows. Currently in a low. But the important thing is not giving up (even though I don't take my own advice sometimes). It's been a while since I've dated an Asian. Koreans can be nice. Japanese girls can also be nice. Plan it out, bro, always have a backup fund just in case something happens. You won't touch it unless an emergency. Take all the money you can. Companies hold no loyalty to anyone but money. Don't spend like a retard, that's the best advice I can give you. I have friends that literally could live off interest of what they inherited and not work a single day and still have enough for at least 5 gens more. Still maintaining their life style (cars, maids, and so). But became junkies and went full retard spending money. You'll think this bs, but I had a friend that literally spent 500k usd just one weed in a year. This is not counting the other stupid shit he spent money on. He got sober after he went broke and cancer took the last of his assets. I gave him some seed money to help him start over. Mf spent it all on weed again (you can imagine how much he consumes). Then became a prick so I cut ties.

There are still cool places you can discover, and forums. While the internet has become consumer slop, you can still find places, and now you have more access to information and other niche things. But search engines won't give you those results generally. The issue with most internet "users" is they want things easy and now. Clean UI means they don't really want to read. I've met really cool people on the internet.

It's really easy to destroy these things. You're going to be replacing a lot of them soon. You don't have enough coverage, people know to vandalize them without carrying their phone, they're easy to break, and don't expect the cops to go rushing out if you cry about it.
>>
>>109483180

Not really they'll give entire weeks worth of footage to cops or even more then that if they haven't written over it. It should be obvious that if you go into public you have no right to privacy. If you want to change this I actually would love this because it would stop tiktok/yt/etc bullshit from being uploaded unless peoples face are blurred out. Good fucking luck with that though!
>>
>>109483245
I think we all have a consumer phase, but the issue is not seeing it and breaking the habit. We can be so ungrateful. I'm talking in general people don't look at what they have and say, Man, I have it good (I won't pretend everyone has it easy either). They see some retard grifter on social media telling you, You don't have this. Buy my course so you can have it and be happy. Back to the topic at hand, some of us still exist. What would you think the term should be?
>sorry I went on a rant it was actually longer

>forgive the grammar, phone fagging

>Feel free to ask anon. I'll try my best to answer.
So I fell into a relationship with a very pure and innocent girl a few years ago. Things were shaky because I couldn't decide whether I should bare her extremely high agreeableness and inability to communicate past a 12yo level for the rest of my life (very much like daughter behavior). I'd be calm for several months then start experiencing triggers when I saw other couples in public interacting with the sophistication of adults. It would tormented me and I'd break up with her.

We would always get back together, or I would attempt to break up, but her wailing in emotional pain was too much to witness and I chose to be with her. This happened countless times.

8 months ago I really put my foot down and ended it for good. There is still so much agonzing guilt inside of me for leaving her. It's tormenting just like being with her was.

She still showed up at my place once a month until I left the country.

She didn't do anything wrong, she was the kindest women ever and I let her down.

Do you have any advice? This has been the hardest thing I've had to deal with. "Sacrifice my life" and dedicate it to someone I see as inferior (but superior in spirit), or smack myself and demand I get over this.

I know she still wants me and would take me back at any time.

Is it true that Flock cameras are full of gold? How much are we talking?

Just researched it. Full is an overstatement, but articles do say they contain a few hundred dollars worth of resellable parts and precious metals.

It's complicated chemistry has to be mutual, and it depends on what you want. Communication is important. If you feel you can't stand her because maybe she's not as smart, you'll resent her. I believe you've already made a couple snarky remark towards her (correct me if I'm wrong). She probably has separation issues, but you can't get trapped just because she wails eventually she'll resent you for looking down on her. Love is complicated. there's no single right answer. The guilt will fade. But here's the thing you're torn because you see her as superior in spirit. That's what's eating you. You know she's a genuinely good person, and you feel like a monster for walking away from that. But guilt isn't love, and pity isn't a foundation. Staying with her just so she wouldn't wail wasn't kindness. You leaving was actually the kindest thing you could've done. Now she has a chance to find someone who doesn't look down on her, and you have a chance to find someone you can respect as an equal. When I fucked up in a relationship in the past, I'd give it time, then call and say sorry for being a prick (without leading them on to think I wanted more). They can take that two ways. he still feels something for me or okay, I forgive you. You shouldn't care what she thinks. Just try to move on, anon if you really don't love her and can't see a proper future with her. This comes from my personal experience

Why does your company not honor FOIA requests? Why am I not allowed to know exactly what information you have on me, and exactly who has been accessing it and where, why?

It's a simple request, if you have nothing to hide about the information you've taken about me, then why are you hiding it? Some of it could be pretty important such as my medical records.

You're right, those remarks are snarky, and hurts. Saying all that feels like a betrayal, even after all this time. Because she's genuinely good and I've often acted like a neurotic idiot.

I hope you're right , that she has a chance to find someone better. Because I sense she's still hurting and many men will just want to exploit her.

She's told me she tried starting a new life with a guy when she showed up at my place. I don't ask her about that, I can read her so I don't need to ask. I'm sure she rushed into a relationship, tried having sex and likely fell apart emotionally.

I guess just try to move on. Cus several years of mental dissonance, to only feel tormented by observing other couples is horrible.

I've tried dating another woman and felt so much better in public with her. I could ignore other couples and enjoyed ignoring them. Whereas before ignoring other people was palatable coping.

LARP Thread, but I'll play along with a pretty easy question

Do you actually delete all user data after 30 days?
Every interview states that Flock specifically deletes all PII unless prompted for investigation before the 30 day period is over. Is that actually true, because that seems like a load of bullshit. It seems like storing this data and making metadata based off of it is exactly what the datacenters are for. Or is it "We delete the specific data but the metadata is saved forever"?

You haven't been in a lot of relationships, have you? This is just women in general, if you can't learn to temper your patience for people who will be mentally 12 their entire lives, then you're better off just forgetting it. Hey, that doesn't mean you can't be friends or even FWB. And it's pointless to hold a grudge with someone with the mental capacity of a child, which is really why you feel torn up: Deep down you're still mad that you couldn't make it work because you're effectively trying to put a 12 year old brain on your level. She's not. I doubt she thinks about you any ordinary day. She is a stream of consciousness of which you occasionally intersect and that results in her behavior.

The sooner you realize that you're only tormenting yourself for the whims of someone who can't feel the way you do, the better.

Because she's a stream of consciousness and you're still tormenting yourself by putting her intellect on your level in a misguided attempt at empathy. You need to quit doing that.

Well, actually, I know the importance of not pushing to main (their branch is labeled main, not master in the pic). Generally on a super professional repo you would have a staging branch, I wouldn't even have push, I would have PRs and they would be reviewed and accepted.

Dude, I'm the original fag you were talking to and replied to your request for advice.>>109484802. If I understand correctly you said you dated other women and felt better with them in public. Just move on anon. If you really don't see anything with her. It's best for both. You are being sympathetic and I understand. You are putting yourself in her shoes. But you can't control the decisions she makes. You can't be unhappy either spending your life with someone your not compatible with. Stop tormenting yourself (easier said than done). I'm not saying you'll start feeling great a few days. It all depends on how long and deep the relationship was. Try to avoid talking to her.
