any intel arc fags here that have good or bad experiences trying to run VR on it? like through virtual desktop or ALVR. I just got a Quest 2 for cheap and I'd like to stream some games but I have a B580. I just want to know before I waste my time and money before getting into this.

>>109478272im talking about spending money on virtual desktop
>>109478279If you're wanting to play steam games, use SteamLink instead. It's free and cuts out the middle man.
>>109477388I haven't tried VR, but my Intel arc B580 gave me nothing but constant problems in both Fortnite and Genshin Impact, and was periodically causing my entire PC to blue screen.I reinstalled Windows (twice), I changed power supplies, I tried different driver versions, I changed my BIOS version, I ran the game in Dx11 mode, Dx12, performance mode, I toggled every graphics setting (disabling temporal AA actually did make things a bit more stable).Complete waste of time. I switched back to my weak low-end AMD card and my pc went back to being perfectly stable. My B580 now just sits in its original box collecting dust
>>109480808you can't use steam link on ARC, steam only allows AMD or Nvidia to run>>109482307That sucks to hear, I haven't had major issues with regular games, but i've been mostly just playing older DX9 games with DXVK, and newest game I run just fine are Arc Raiders and BF6, which run really well driver wise.Idk what your CPU is but from what I heard you basically need ReBAR and a CPU made in the past 7 years.
>>109483003CPU is AMD 7800X3D, it supports ReBAR.I pretty much only play Fortnite and Genshin so I didn't bother testing any other games with it, but considering how popular those two games are I was shocked that I was having so many issues. Intel really needs to get their shit together on the driver front.
>>109478279>spending money on virtual desktopjust use airlink or steam link
>>109478279>virtual desktop>at one point he ran a command and control server that detected pirated copies and bricked them remotely
>>109482307Are you using a newer Intel CPU? They only work well with gen 10th forward I think
>>109483527airlink sucks, it crashes steamVR constantly, and you can't use steamlink on ARC
