Do you guys ever feel the walls of the browser world closing in around you?The amount of sites that allow my browser, VPN, adblocker and extentions of choice is slowly shrinking. Every update a site or two just doesn't let me pass bot control anymore, or some feature just won't load, or I get kindly told to fuck off.I'm slowly experiencing "my" way of browsing the internet not being welcome anymore.

It’s gonna get worse. Web Credentials and Secure Attestation are coming and your browser will be proving to the sites you go to that it is signed and everything else is too from the firmware upward. Proving to the website that you are on a non rooted compliant device will be required for a lot of sites, the next generation of DRM. These locked down devices willl gradually stop being general purpose computers; moving towards glorified iPads. Age verification will be built in as well, and for a web developer enabling all these “protections” will be as easy as a checkbox on Cloudflare. You’ll do ID verification with your OS vendor and it will be tied to your global Microsoft or Google account that you use everywhere…The result will be that open devices get banned from a lot of the web. People will like it (fewer bots on social media) but it will also kill anonymity and probably this website right here will fall too. Places to foment dissent will disappear and there will only be normie commentary and retarded fedposting on Facebook from clueless spiritual boomers that pose no threat to anyone.
