Any congressfags in here? I have a great idea. I have drafted a bill to protect prices for RAM that can also be modified to include NVME storage and GPUs.Do you think it could work? We need a congressman to sponsor it.
World governments seem to believe that big AI datacenters = geopolitical superpowa, nothing you can do about the ridiculous demand for certain components that comes with it.
Congressmen have zero incentive to fight for "consumers", they are paid by Big Tech.Only China has the capability to bring down prices due to their different political system and industrial capacity.
Everyone’s a capitalist until the product they want to buy becomes too expensive for them to afford.

>RAM
Kek he believe in government and law.
>>109480157Hmm, let me guess, by mandating what the price is going to be. This is called "price fixing." Can any historian please illuminate us all as to why this never works? ;)
>>109480157Anon we have to beat China in the mass surveillance race.
>>109480157Silly goyim
>>109482760luckily capitalism subsidizes HFCS injections
>>109483546It actually does work if the price is inflated through artificial scarcity and gouging because in that case lowering prices actually stimulates the market instead of destroying incentives for the primary producers because the business is still very profitable by virtue of scale (see at&t after the telecom act). The issue is that the scarcity here is not artificial just very unexpected, this however doesn't jive with the peasant who casts his votes on the platform of "make da gaz cheip!" every 4 years always being duped by the same trick.
the capacity prices are not what get me its the fact that dogshit speeds and bins are overpriced. only hynix can command high ram prices because their ram can actually hit what you call "high performance ddr5". samsung, micron, cxmt can barely hold a candle yet they are just as expensive if not more.
>>109480157Why would they do this? They vote for infinity gibs to 'israel' and in return they get insider trading tips from jews to get rich.
Here 2x32gb RAM went from a stable 250$ to 1750$ in the span of a year, still increasing.
