After 2 weeks on Opus 5 I can honestly say this thing can't be trusted, the mistakes are incredibly insidious, you read the self-corrections and think it's on a good track but really it's poisoning its own context and getting confused for no reason. It's really good at making you think it's good... until you stay a bit too long in the same context or deviate from the original demand, then it's full schizo mode. Fable is so much cleaner and solid it's not even funny, even Sonnet 5 is more consistent despite the limitations.

Personally I am not anti-AMD, my inference engine has first class support for AMD, but there's only so much I can do because AMD itself is anti-AMD.To give an example, SD1.5, which is a 4 year old model at this point, on AMD's torch builds with diffusers gets ~15it/s @ 512x512, my engine gets that to ~35it/s, however, a 3090 on torch builds from the release of SD1.5 got 15it/s, modern torch gets that to around 25it/s iirc and both my engine and TensorRT get that to around 45it/s. So AMD's performance is indeed about 2 generations behind

Compaction can create whole new ideas and the cycle begins anew, with two live things.>the kicker: I intentionally made sure no semantics or ontology existed. All categories, tags, edge labels, those are added by the agent using the tool, the tool is just a mechanical shell that holds it all together, it initially is nonfunctional until an agent gives it fragments and assigns meaning to those fragmentsAll I need to do is just tell my agents “use ‘tool’” and they very happily fill it with thoughts and ideas and track them.Sol Medium is even doing a good job with it.

For simplicity before I just used slow/medium/fast ala opus/sonnet/haiku but I'm going to try pulling it together for a more automated system that just checks per specific request and evaluates it for what gets the best quality for cost (depend on speed since some requests need to be faster). That and a nice dashboard for looking at all the prompt responses so I can evaluate it and help to determine the quality metric. Honestly per prompt it might be cool if I just have it collect some responses form a selection of models and based on my evaluation of each response it builds a quality criteria it can use for the evals should be able to pull that into the dashboard pretty easily...

gaythropic created mythos months ago, but I wouldn't worry about their speedthey had frontier lead for months, but looking back it wasn't any black magic, they just happened to be the first pushing trillion-scale models, and also all other labs fucked up in some waynow that other labs and china pushing model size, anthropic models don't look that special, in fact sonnet, opus have been losing against same-size modelsif the lead of mythos-fable is mainly from model size, then it's pretty bad for anthropic, they can't just keep training a bigger model than everyone, one day they will stop being top 2 lab if it was elon musk in this position then this it's a guaranteed victory because he can build the biggest datacenter. anthropic don't even own their own compute
>>109494583Anthropic has already firmly lost top lab status. Literally just some months ago they were the absolute top, but sonnet 5 and opus 5 are trash flops and fable 5 is so much bigger than anything else. I have no idea how people still look up to anthropic so much when k3 is right there with fable and only a bit over 2 trillion; plus it beats fable in many ways and is superior at design work. Then you look at OpenAI and GPT5.6 is so much more efficient than anything anthropic has it’s nastyPeople are just retarded and think only about time, which is why they revere anthropic so much. I’m only looking at performance, size, and cost. I don’t give a shit if something’s supposedly 10% smarter on benches when it’s 150% bigger and over 200% more expensive. The thing is that people look at cost as just budget reasons, which is the lowest iq subhuman take. >>109496405>why didn't youRetards blaming calculators for their own mistakes.
>>109496483I already know how to actually code. Like I explained in that earlier message I got my RPA job in ~2020 through the potfolio I built doing freelancing over a couple years.>a good job is worth more than a degree, but a degree opens for doors for that first jobI feel like the work experience/credentials I had on that RPA job I had for the last 5 years (at a big consulting company you've probably heard of) is nearly worthless and a degree would be infinitely more valuable. That's in part because RPA is an obsolete field, but I think traditional programming is probably not faring much better.>>109496491Back when I did freelancing (from 2016 to 2020) I worked on freelancer.com for tiny companies who would probably be more than happy to vibecode what they wanted. They were happy with hiring randoms from a freelancing site, why would an AI be any less trustworthy?I checked now and all the offers seemed to ask a lot for what they paid, but that might have been because my expectations after having a real job are too high. But that goes back to my point of it being very hard to make a living doing freelancing on those sites. Also I think you're kinda wrong that traditional companies aren't jumping blindfolded into AI.They are being cautious and some big multinationals don't allow agentic coding yet, but using AI over a chat interface is still a big productivity boost, employees are probably using "shadow AI" anyway and they will soon enough if they want to stay competitive.>>109496523I'm just letting OpenAI some RL signal so they fix it on the next update.
I need a way to politely but succinctly say "this entire plan is overbaked"
>>109496537>I feel like the work experience/credentials I had on that RPA job I had for the last 5 years (I'm a faggot) is nearly worthless and a degree would be infinitely more valuablif you're retarded and don't see how your leaned skills could possibly apply elsewhere, sure. You might be more suited to sell yourself on the street than selling yourself on the job market
>>109496543"I appreciate all the effort you've gone to, but some of the things you've laid out I would prefer to get to when it's time to implement them, rather than planning them out far in advance."
>>109496567I hate the whole "convince HR person to give you a job" thing and all the other normal bullshit that comes with a real job. That's why I'm considered other avenues.
After using grok to customize the xteink4 firmware for a custom Bible, I realize that I need to just customize basically everything now.

>>109496594I've never had an HR person involved when applying for a jobit happens, but most people who write online a retarded niggers who got burnednot an excuse
>>109496623I had an interview with who would become my manager about my freelance work and then a round of psychometric tests with other candidates done by HR when joining said consulting company. At first I was rejected then I got an email from the guy a year later asking if I was still interested. Also I was referred by a highschool friend otherwise I'd probably wouldn't have gotten the job.
>>109496640like I said, it happensshouldn't be an excuse to not apply at all
