My PC keeps shutting off and restarting out of nowhere and I can't afford to fix or replace it
>>109510314Its probably overheating
>>109510314check ram slots, see if its coming loose or somethingcheck gpu slotcheck bent pins on both slotsget hwmonitor to check temperature and if so just apply paste
>>109510314>I can't afford to fix or replace it.saar...
>>109510363NopeJust can't get hired for some ungodly reasonAlthough I finally have an interview for an art store job next week
>>109510314It's the power supply dumbass
>>109510376I hope so because that'd be the most affordable to replace
>>109510314God is punishing you
>>109510363Saars are why he can't afford it
>>109510376this, I had a shitty one from a prebuilt that did exactly the same thing
>>109510385Hurry and get a job before ai hikes those prices up too
start unplugging parts until it stabilizes, but PSU anon is probably right, unless you were messing with manual overclock settings.
>>109510314>>109510600
>>109510560True. Us IndianCHADS IQ and work ethic mog you.
>>109510314If you have been pushing it really hard genning local your gpu might be biting the dust. That'll insta black screen shut down any rig on windows.
>>109510706TVUKE.Indians statistically work harder and better than anyone else.
>>109510314Skill issue.Stop being a poorfag.
>>109510385this, had the same happen to me
>>109510881They statistically shit harder and better than anyone else too
>>109510902>Sukdeep calling anyone a poorfag
>>109510652>PSU prices rise by an extra 300 dollars plus tip
>>109510314possible problems:over heatingtoo much power demanda program is causing it (any new programs installed?new hardware?virus/malwarespooks.it could be hardware breaking, but test the alternatives first, it could just be that you need to clean out your motherboard with some compressed air.or needs new thermal paste >>109510346or you need to do a bios reset (shut down the PC, then hold the power button for 15-30 seconds)think back on what you did the last few days, you should be able to come to a conclusion.
>>109510373>>109510314Probably faulty ram, fucked up CPU or a driver issue.Could even be the power supply or gfx card if it happens while playing games.Update all driversRun checkdiskRun memtest
>>109510314Clean the dust out of your case and repaste your CPU
>>109510314that was me yesterday. updated all drivers and been working fine since. if the issue comes up again, im replacing the PSU and reseating the components. gotta hold out until zen 7.
>>109514659uninstall windows 11
>>10951469310, for me. (white male, mid-30s)
>>109514659>>109514693I get that random black screen when i play world of warcraft classic and things get intense, like 40 man raid or when booty bay is full when there is about to be a world buff. I do live in a hot climate but i have good pc (3080ti and 12900k). Maybe is discord fucking me up? Maybe i should uninstall. Also i built my pc in 2022 and i have never cleaned the inside since then idk if it matters
>>109510314Post contact. Will buy off you for $25. Cut your loses friend. Its over.
>>109514724Log your temps with hwinfo64it's likely your gpu hotspot is out of controlI have a card from the same era and it needs a repaste, I undervolt it to keep it quiet
>>109514802Wait what is a hotspot? I never did the paste thing can I do it alone or should i go to a technician?
>>109510376This.You can prove it by running power stress test in OCCT
>>109514837Hotspot is the hottest spot on the chip. Your temperature of 106 degrees is very very high and this is the cause of your issue. If you are not confident in your skills you can pay a computer technician to replace it for you.
>>109515088to be fair i had premiere pro open and wow at the same time, right now it sits at 60 and btw is heatwave here, but yeah that's maybe what's causing the issue
>>109510320Overheating pcs would just get throttled to a crawl.
>>109515163only well-configured ones with proved stable hardware configurations, and we are on /g/
>>109510314Have you tried turning it off and on again?
>>109510376Or just the psu cable, disconnect it, blow some air on it and then reconnect it.
>>109514717>white male, mid-30sJust replace it. You clearly can afford it.
>>109515163That works to some degree but if there's something seriously wrong with the cooling and even throttling doesn't bring the temperatures in check then you can run into instability.
>>109510314Just vibecode a new PC lmao
>>109514837Yeah that's no good, almost 35C difference between GPU temp and hotspot and hotspot at 106C is very bad. For the record, you normally want the hotspot to be <10C hotter than the GPU temp. Yours being 35C hotter is way out of whack and indicates something is very wrong. Your problem might be the GPU cutting out as a safety measure or just instability due to the crazy high temperature. Also it looks like your GPU is at 200W load but 70C temperature, that is also quite bad. 70C at full load (350W for a 3080 Ti) would be no problem at all but if it gets that hot at 200W you will probably have issues at 350W. It looks like your PC has serious thermal trouble.
>>109510314Same situation here.I'm currently using a $500 laptop bought in 2012.
>>109516056good thing nvidia disabled its sensors via drivers and hid the hotspot information and no action has been taken against them
>>109510881best joke I ever heard
clean up the fan
I had RAM issue. BIOS update fixed it.
>>109510314believe in yourself little chuddy.
>>109514717This worked for me
>>109515163One time I was getting bluescreens due to dusty GPU overheating.
>>109511357>I-I-I'm not brown, y-y-y-you are!Kill yourself.
keep on trucking /g/
