so how did you get filtered by windows ?
>>

This picture is spot on. People I've seen "debloating" their windows were absolutely clueless tech illiterates.
>>
>>109511007
Debloat scripts are the only thing keeping windows alive for me.
>>
>>109511007
>Windows is unusable out of the box
>if you try to debloat it it will break

It does indeed sound like it's bad.
>>
there are two types of people
those who hate windows and don't use it
those who hate windows and use it
everyone else is just a liar

i hate windows and linux and I use both everyday

/adv/ idea: stop using computers

this is advice to myself as well

I use windows and absolutely love it. I have a company issued Mac as well and I hate it.

Is there anything I should do with my windows 11 laptop now that I own it? It’s an asus rog, it runs solid but it’s been a while since I’ve had a new laptop and I don’t really know anything about windows 11
>>
>>109511007
For anyone with a 3-digit IQ, Windows 10 and 11 are utterly unusable before disabling an enormous array of features and settings.
>>
>>109511270
Seems harder to set up than linux
>>
I hate Linux, but not nearly as much as I hate Windows
>>
>>109511007
No CoW filesystem

If windows supported ZFS I would switch back in a heartbeat, but I don't see that happening any time soon
Winfags have to admit they have been stuck on an inferior filesystem for decades now
>>
>>109511632
it is, which is why 3-digit IQ people choose linux
>>
>>109511007
I hate windows, but I hate linux slightly more. I absolutely fucking detest anything apple too so I just shitpost on my abacus.

what is going on with you people?

Most people have at least one working eye.

You don't hate modern Windows enough, not until you actually get to experience the sheer difference in bloat between 7 and 10.

My uncle's 2008-era Pentium e5300 PC had blown it's HDD, and he hired some dude to replace it. But that HDD came installed with Windows 10. It took solid 15 minutes just to boot up, and opening a browser would also take 10 minutes. Click on the address bar, another 5 minutes before it responds ... Completely unusable.
Due to various circumstances (sanctions + ai bubble) buying a new computer wasn't really possible, so I installed Windows 7 on the machine. Standard TSForge activated Enterprise, with SP1+Simplix update pack, so no debloating. Now the machine boots up in around 20 seconds, it even runs games (hl2) and modern browsers (Firefox ESR 115) respond reasonably well. It became a new computer suddenly.

There's genuinely like a 10x system requirements difference between 7 and 10, but what the fuck does 10 offer over 7 that makes it worth it? LITERALLY NOTHING, 10 is LESS USABLE BY ALL METRICS than 7. But requires 15 years newer hardware to run tolerably. And don't get me started on 11, had to use it on university friend's MODERN SSD Ryzen laptops a few times and it runs as awfully as 10 on a HDD.

How does anyone tolerate this? Linux runs all the games these days, you've ran out excuses.

Windows "features" you didn't enable eating gb

Windows "antimalware" real-time protection that won't stay off and is a performance destroyer so complete it's like having malware itself, and you have to menu dive to temporarily disable it. (it even goes retard mode on Logos Bible Study software, the premier bible study app/database).

the lock screen doesn't have an always visible clock. For this reason, you're going to need to buy a desktop clock, if you buy a windows machine. Oh, you want the date too? Better get a clock with the date. What happens is, if you hit a key, when your win11 is locked, you'll get stuck where the clock, date, aren't visible. you can't get out of this, you have to just wait, however long that's set to. It's been this way for at least a decade.

you can't put the taskbar on the side. outrageously retarded.

using ai msft tracks the individual user and likely also surveils other various activities. The problem with surveilance is it is what Edward Snowden calls "turn key tyranny", meaning you only need the political will to leverage the surveillance into arbitrary acts of the state. Inability to act is the best defense against a bad law (ie forcing the evil state to build up its systems, instead of handing them the keys to killinator 5000).

Despite its power, msft didn't demand laptops branded Win11 capable be waterproof and dustproof. Moreover, low latency audio wasn't mandated, either.

>msft didn't demand laptops branded Win11 capable be waterproof and dustproof.
Wouldn't this just mandate laptops to become entirely unrepeatable phone-like garbage? Or are modern laptops already so bad you've given up and wish them to just double down on the phone-ness? My newest laptop is a 2012 thinkpad so I genuinely don't know
>>
>>109514076
>unrepeatable
unrepairable*

I trusted firefox's spellcheck blindly, shocking it doesn't have unrepairable in its dictionary

>>109511102
yeah i hate technology too

>>109511007
if you knew, you would stay away from Windows too.

Windows is such fucking garbage.

Even micro$oft admits NTFS is a bag of shit. Which is what prompted 'em to name the next one 'resilient'. lol.

I'm by no means a defender fan, and my flatmate dumb enough to use winhoes and has had much pain with his defender, but that's a f'kin database? You really should be questioning what that's doing that eats so much of defender's time...
Most of the shit flatmate has issues with is legitimately shonky...

Wangblows is so broken that while playing games, I often have to press shift+ctrl+wn+b (a magic hotkey I learned about recently so I no longer have to hard-reboot when the graphics driver crashes).
