It's a 25 ultra with a clicks keyboard. Solid phone all around, got it in May last year for $1200. Now they cost about $700. I've had literally zero problems with it. The seam is basically invisible and the hinges are fine, performance is great, form factor is pretty great. The phone is completely usable when it is folded up, so you basically have a little mini phone you can do stuff with if you don't feel like opening it up at any given moment. Highly recommend, probably gonna upgrade to a 2027 with Graphene too.
>>
>>109512851
It's even worse, it will break the screen itself.

Oof, that does not look great. The front display is even more squarish than z fold 8's. It's going to be nigh unusable with many apps. I think Apple may have blundered here.

My basic bitch iphone 15 falls onto the pavement a few times a year and after 2 years of use has a single small groove on the screen
I went through two folds in 6 months. Both I couldn’t even tell why they broke, I was babying them. They are too fragile to be used as phones by somebody who isn’t just NEETing at home all day. In the end I just bought a tablet for consooming media at a larger screen, I rarely need it when I’m out anyway
The crease is annoying af, too
>>
>>109513839

No, you weren't. You have butter fingers. If I had to choose between you and a literal drooling retard with cerebral palsy to carry my phone for me, I would go with the 'tard ten times out of ten.

yeah my buddy got it, it was so fucking stupid, then after a few months of usage he opens it and hears a crack at the top of the screen, he keeps opening it and it progressed downwards like a zipper

it was still very much on warranty, he got rid of the fucking thing and got himself top of the line samsung galaxy instead

few months pass, he starts shaking his gallaxy and getting mega annoyed that the lens inside the camera is clacking very loudly like it fell off the rails and is just rattling. Phone still focuses when the electromagnets are on but when off its making a noise like theres a loose screw inside lmfao

refuses to get an iphone

Reminder that the first foldable phone came out 8 years ago.
>>
>>109512759
I don't like creases down the middle of my screen, and anyway those folding screens won't be durable enough to survive my standard ~5 years of use for a device.
>>
i don't want to sound like a high grape kinda guy. but it feels like a compromise between a proper cell phone and a tablet.
>>
I don't see the point for these smartphones, I prefer a tablet if I want a bigger screen and for watching videos I have more than enough with a smartphone.
>>
>>109512759

>>
>>109520236
The crease is such an overblown issue. You only see it when you look at it from an angle. When you look at it directly, you don't notice it at all.
>>
>>109520251
that's the point, it's a compromise that allows you to carry (and charge) one device instead of two
if you get the right one then they're completely fine as regular phones, i went from a z50s pro (chink brick) to a fold6 and i actually like the fact that it's narrower, makes it easier to hold and swipe-type with one hand
>>
Unless the post office fucks me over, I should get my Fold 8 tomorrow.

>>
>>109512759
why do that when you can have a tablet for that and you have a normal smartphone? It's like creating something for uses not needed, most are glued to their smartphones, they might have a tablet or they might just have a laptop which are all portable. This is like an inbetween gimmick that has few uses really.
>>
>>109523044
>they might have a tablet or they might just have a laptop which are all portable
Not in the same sense that phones are. To take a tablet or a laptop with you, you need something to carry them with, creating unnecessary burden. You are also very limited in where you can use them. Nobody is going to take off their backbag and dig out their huge-ass tablet in the middle of a street to just quickly check something.
>>
>>109512759

>Why don't you own a foldable yet?
I live above the arctic circle and folding displays don't like cold weather. They drastically lose flexibility and durability in temps below 0c.
And it's a lot colder than that here in the winter.
