Is there a good LLM tool able to automatically assign some tags to links based on the URL and title? I've a huge as fuck text file filled with links (over 3k) i'd like to make them bookmarks, but they're basically dead weight without proper tags. Many might not even work anymore.

I switched from Pop! to Ubuntu because Pop! took so long to release 24.04. Now I'm getting fed up with snap and daily security updates that you can't avoid because of a bug in the updater. You can't even uninstall the updater because the nvidia drivers depend on it.

I'm leaning toward Artix. The only thing holding me back is which init system to choose. What are some reasons to choose one over another? I'll need to write init scripts for a Minecraft server on my HTPC.

Of course, Cachy themselves say that you should default to the latest stable release of Proton and ONLY use Proton-CachyOS if you either need its cutting edge features, like low_latency_layer, or niceties like the FSR3->FSR4 upgrade feature for RDNA3/RDNA4 cards (now default behavior).
The cases where it actually fixes something or improves performance in a meaningful way outside of utilizing these features are going to be slim to none at this point, Valve is doing a very good job with their stable releases.

As an Arch user since 2015, yes. It's just Arch with a bunch of sane defaults you'd have to work out how to implement yourself post-install but probably lack the expertise to do so.
Those configurations are easily browsable if you're interested in what they're setting up differently from a vanilla Arch install, many are found here: https://github.com/CachyOS/CachyOS-Settings
Though some are in other packages.

I wanted to be an elitist and continue to just use Arch, but the end result would just be me aping Cachy's work. If you have an existing setup that you're happy with you don't need to reinstall it, you can even use their repos on Arch, but it's hard for me to recommend Cachy over Arch on fresh desktop installs at this point. I'm positive there's at least one good reason, but the net positive leans toward Cachy at this point I think.

I did end up reinstalling my Arch setup of a decade because I wanted to switch from ext4 to btrfs anyway.

It has some environmental arguments for configuration but unless you want a custom prefix location I wouldn't bother with them.

I'd be very surprised if it didn't literally just work, this shit (proton, which umu handles utilizing outside of steam) is bordering on magic at this point.

I've been using a GPU accelerated Windows VM via PCI passthrough using libvirt/qemu and Looking Glass on my Linux setup since 2020 and I can tell you right now, don't do this in 2026 unless you have a very good or niche reason to.
At this point the amount of games that will run in a Windows VM but not through Proton are very small.
In regards to anti-cheat, things have flipped in that I'm now experiencing more pushback in a VM than on native Linux. For example Marvel Rivals explicitly blocks VMs, but runs on Linux just fine, and it's not the only game I've found that does this. It's kind of retarded, as anyone using a VM to cheat could absolutely do so on baremetal Linux as well but here we are.

The only good reason to use a passthrough VM in 2026 is if you suffer extremely poor stability or performance on Linux for some reason (that's me, RDNA1 stability is complete dogshit under the open source Linux drivers and loves to crash my entire desktop randomly when playing games through dxvk).

This shit works fine on windows and x11, but Wayland of course makes everything difficult.

I tried googling but only suggestions I found are telling me to install KDE plasma's own virtual keyboard which can go fuck itself because Steam's supports using the keyboard with the controller, which is the point.
