Just recently upgraded to 6k after ~7 years of 4k. For gaming even 1440p is overkill imo; once you're at 1080p a higher refresh rate makes for a better gaming experience given how much movement there is on screen. I'm still using 1080p and I see no need to progress further since I'm losing interest in video games since they're so fucking shit. I bought a 4k TV back in like 2017 and I watched it maybe 5 times before I gave it away to my parents in 2021. What point is there in worrying about 4k when its just basic desktop apps? I hardly use my GPU for gaming either, It gets more use doing AI models.
