>>109516696I still think it is worth not having an AI teach you, anyone on /g/ that actually uses AI would (presumbly) know all AI does is synthesize cobbled up together paragraphs of text. Essentially, pattern matching on stereoids. That's it. And who do you think wrote the books in the first place? The people recommending AI to teach are essentially using AI as a shield to cope with having read nothing themselves and taken the time to learn nothing seriously.

>>109523149i don't think the problem is that ai is a bad teacher by any means. the problem is that learning requires time and friction to really take hold. asking AI to summarize a 30 page chapter down to three paragraphs might give you all of the actual content, but you wont internalize the info in the same waywhere AI can help is being able to actually have a back and forth about concepts you aren't grasping after reading a chapter. or especially having it do shit like write up a quiz or some practice problems and then grading you
