Cool until the people running those services start auditing how frequently/unusually their bookings change, then they can surge the price on any Melvin who thinks they're being clever by getting a bot to do this.

This one, unlike the hugging face one, sounds very believable. Apparently the LLM just did some HTTP requests that should not have been allowed and the server did no checks and went along with it. This is not really about the LLM being a super genius hacker and more about the people that made the website being retarded (it was probably vibecoded too lol). The huggingface story on the other hand is clearly a PR stunt
>>

Why does this place feel like one of those tranny-infested reddit subs lately? Are anti-AI fags trying to campaign here?
>>

There's no "anti-AI", only people fed up with inorganic marketing of AI companies trying to shove this slop down everyone's throat. If it was just an occasional thread about AI here and there noone would care.

Well then they aren't Luddites retard.
Luddites are people who refuse AI and attempt down playing it.
When you actually use the tool you will wake the fuck up form the retardism your brain has gone though.

>>

this term is stupid and you are stupid for using it with sincerity.
>>109517237
you as well.

The “Luddite” comparison is doing considerably more work here than the word actually means.

The Luddites weren't simply people who “refused technology.” The original Luddite movement consisted primarily of skilled textile workers in early-19th-century England who opposed the introduction and use of particular machinery under conditions they believed were destroying their livelihoods, bargaining power, and established labor practices. They were perfectly capable of understanding and using technology; their objection was to a particular economic and social deployment of technology.

So “uses AI = not a Luddite” is already a rather silly definition. Using a technology does not logically preclude criticizing its consequences, just as a factory worker operating a power loom wouldn't thereby cease to have legitimate objections to the way the mill was being run.

More importantly, “Luddite” has become internet shorthand for “person who dislikes new technology,” which is basically an ahistorical synonym for technophobe. Those aren't interchangeable concepts.

Someone can:

- use AI while criticizing its labor-market effects;
- use AI while opposing particular applications of it;
- use AI while believing that some forms of automation should be regulated;
- or simply think the technology is useful while disputing the breathless claims surrounding it.

None of those positions requires rejecting technology wholesale.

And the inverse doesn't work either: being enthusiastic about AI doesn't make someone an enlightened technological realist. “You used the tool, therefore you've awakened from retardism” is not an argument; it's just technological evangelism wearing a lab coat.

If we're going to invoke the Luddites, at least invoke them accurately.

It totally sounds fucking believable lol.
You have some naiive idea that every corp is running their business like a faang with crowdstrike and endpoint detection - be fuckin real.

Your average business is run by a complete fucking retard delegating tasks to other, even dumber people - and you think its outside the scope of reality that an LLM crawled an http forms input on some random webpage, and found a simple owasp vulnerability? I have a fuckin bridge to sell you if you think this is unbelievable, beyond reason.
My last apartment complex had a publicly accessible SMB share for their front offices and it was fairly trivial to fuzz the url of a pdf they sent me and see public (announcements) and definitely intended-to-be private (eviction letters) shit.
If you paid attention there's vulnerabilities out there in the wild, all day, every day, 24/7. Just because the cutting edge seems to be accelerating really fast that doesnt mean there's still people who dont give a fuck running a html/css/php stack coffee shop website for 15 years

/g/uys? I'm out of the loop, are those "hacking incidents" real? Or is this just marketing for how powerful AI is?

What AI is selling is the dream of being able to do any creative job and gain the social recognition that goes with it without having to lift a finger. AI is seen as a miracle cure for the mediocre and the poor. They know the current world offers no possibility of upward mobility, so AI is the last hope for the belief in the possibility of changing one's social position to escape the often shitty survival jobs (workers, employees). This is nothing more than an intellectual gold rush whose only beneficiaries are the shovel sellers. Nvidia are the only ones profiting for a reason.

Ask yourself - where are the stories of AI failure on social media? You see them in pockets on Reddit, 4chan, Facebook suppressed by the algorithm and flooded with bot downvotes. The guys burning thousands in tokens? They keep their mouths shut because it's not socially prestigious to display their toilet bowl.

Businesses are about money. AI hallucinates, and as long as AI hallucinates, as long as you have real edge cases, that has potential to generate negative business impacts. There always has to be an auditor.

The fact is that I resolve bugs outside of the code, my job has not been at threat of loss. I am often tasked with ironing out inconsistencies to align the code with the company's operational reality, and then translating that solution into an automated, deterministic system that ensures every transaction recorded in the database corresponds to an actual payment. I understand more than just telling the bot to shit something out, and that's where there will always remain a need. I am there to clean up what the vibe coder vomits out.

Lmao, this is fucking awesome, I love the idea of a future where AI users are all jacked because they barely have to work and luddites are all out of shape because they spend all their tile in front of a computer and when they try to go to the gym once in a blue moon they get pushed out of the system.

Evolution at work.

Kek this. Only leftroons actually hate AI, literally every other person on this planet enjoys using it. It's just a part of being born as a mentally ill contrarian, no wonder why they lost the elections and will lose the midterms as well.

I've found lots of bugs like this. API surfaces usually have a lot of bugs. Check your SAML/oauth2 implementations in depth for stuff like this. Make sure your APIs are secure. Also make sure that your webpack config is sane and sensible. All very easy, often overlooked.
>>
>>109519625
why do third worldists harp on about this like it's literally the first time ever that muzzies converted portions of a military base into a civilian facility in order to farm international izzat. nigga they hit it because it was on the books as a military facility and there was still military activity because half the fucking complex was still a military facility, it would have happened with or without AI.

there's no such thing as "international law," seething brownoid
