This can be a DAW screenshot.- The album organiser reserves the right to reject a submission if it is deemed that AI was used too heavily.- If you are unsure about aspects of the AI policy, do ask.Optionally, you can attach cover art, lyrics, and an artist name to your submission. >Thread diedRepostan my dogshite: https://vocaroo.com/1gf1aEprZJRcI'm once against asking how to get past the stage of >"I place notes randomly and waste 2 hours picking instruments and my brain turns to mush and the song idea dies in my head"stage of making music.Should I start with just piano? Strictly with chords? Melody first? Please help a very unintelligent anon out.

>>109524875Fact: there is only ONE (1) song in Lennart Poettering and the Goblet of Onions that isn't AI generated.
>>109528757lol yeah several are suspiciously off-putting to listen to. even if they're not AI, they have garbage taste in plugins to get to that sound. even runescape music is probably too difficult for most anons, seriously it shouldn't be understated how retarded they are. like carly rae jepsen can suddenly make ""ABBA-inspired"" songs that sounds vaguely like just plagiarism but also doesn't sound very good. like hell yeah they were probably AI-assisted.
>>109528757Did you look at the DAW screenshots in the flac download? If you see evidence of undeclared AI output then I'd like to know more.

imagine outsourcing your own hobbies to AI lmao. what are we doing here?
I've just started trying to figure out Cardinal, and it turns out I can do some interesting stuff with my vibecoded command-line tool.
>>109526889Learn enough about theory that you can notate your idea, or at least a rough sketch of it on paper or with a midi roll. Learning chords will help you to have a shorthand for this. Knowing how to play an instrument certainly helps. You can also make a recording of yourself humming your idea. Focus less on the specificities of the instrument you need and worry about where it should sit in the mix when you eq. That will narrow down your choices.
