All sorts of weird shit but it's controlling the masses with tech, controlling their behaviour with tech, having their own personal robot armies and a handful of people enjoying their lives while the rest are hypnotised into subservience and fear through AI, punishments and behaviour modification. They want to reduce the population down to a billion because they have calculated that is the amount needed for total control and everything to remain perfect for them. And once this happens their is no coming back. And they will breed out intelligence and not have enough people to fix tomorrows problems so we will probably die out in a few thousand years.

So team humans need to win this one.

Eventually we grow so bored of experiencing the super powerful fantasies and we want to experience the mundane grind as if it's a novel experience.
We ask AI to wipe our brains between every session so we don't know we're in a simulation when we enter.
Inside this simulation we eventually develop tech that can simulate reality etc...
