Why is Windows 7 largely considered peak Windows?
>>
>>109538378
last windows before MicroSoft got turned into MasalaShits

Never cared all that much about the transparency shit but other than that, most of the UI was fairly straightforward and tried to service the needs of the user. Drivers were mostly stable by then too, which was always one of Windows weakest points. Then Microsoft discovered the value of advertising and telemetry, which they started rolling out slowly in newer versions of Windows until it became little different than having a walmart manager following you around everywhere you go.

MBAbros had their turn at making everything shit. Turning Microsoft into Jeet Central started under the watch of uber-MBAbro Steve Ballmer but it took time for that cancer to fully take hold. Now even the MBAbros have mostly lost power as Microsoft becomes, as you wrote, MasalaShits, with Indians hiring Indians no matter what.

It's not, except among zoomies.

>Why is Windows 7 largely considered peak Windows?
No, it's far more complicated. there is no peak.
each version comes with a set of good and bad ideas and a lot of it is personal preference as well and context of the time.
And the problem is that when it's decided that these are bad it's hard to just remove it.
>>
There are people in college who never used Windows 7, they grew up with iOS, Chromebooks, Windows 10/11 and Android. time to stop being a millennial boomer.

Being a windows 7 chad is just like being unstoppable.
>Firefox ESR
Still supported
>Windows Security Essentials
Still updated.
>Steam
Still works.
>Zero days
Nonexistent.
>>
>>109539199
>No Nvidia 40 series or 50 series support
>Only supports 192GB ram so can't run large local models
>Agentic botnets scanning for vulnerabilties
>Firefox ESR dosen't support three years of CSS and Javascript improvements forcing devs to use polyfils that used to be reserved for Internet Explorer.
>Linux users outnumber Windows 7 users by 10-1 now.

Being a Windows 7 user is getting harder every day.

Classic 7

None of that matters.

First one without 10000000 viruses?

It's the last and most refined version where the desktop experience was actually the top priority.
8/8.1 treated you as second class behind mobileshit. 10/11 prioritize exploiting you rather than serving you.

Because it doesn’t have GDID?

you know that windows server 2008 exists, right?
>>
>>109538378
It isn't. It's what you grew up using if you're 18-25 and I'm pretty sure that's still the prominent demographic here. 2000 is peak Windows for me. First version of NT that was somewhat usable at home. No more VxD BSODs. Night and day stability difference compared to 98SE and the beginning of the end for 9x and DOS.
