my only advice is that you need a projects section that is strong enough that it would look like bullet points from a real resume, and those need to be contributions to a very popular foss project.
the layout isnt going to matter much. recruiters are using AI to filter it and then they are skimming it really briefly to see it matches.
the market is fucked. no one cares that you got a bachelors, that's the minimum to not get immediately filtered. no one cares that you do personal projects. the only thing that matters is having real experience in something very similar to the stack they use for the position. there is an extremely large surplus of people at entry and mid level right now. even seniors are getting pushed out of market.

Yeah I've been job hunting for a little under a year. the first time I got invited to interview with a large company I was anxious as fuck and couldn't think about anything else. It was a great feeling for a while, then they asked me a bunch of soft questions and a tricky sliding window medium. Of course I got rejected and that crushed me.
So then I grinded more leetcode and used claude to help me learn the shit I couldn't answer. Repeat that cycle about a dozen times, and now I've gotten to the point where I'm confidently passing 7 rounds at FAANG. The only thing still holding me up are behavioral interviews where I have to talk about my experiences while not sounding like a complete bum.
I'm just glad it's almost over. I don't even think I've become a great developer, just a great interviewee.

I use swift which has two concurrency frameworks, a more modern async / await and an older framework called GCD that gives you more control of threads and is easier to use but also fuck up and has no built in protections against deadlocks or data races. Give me one reason why I shouldn't just do the online masters in CS at CU Boulder? It's all coursera courses at your own pace, there's no admission requirements, it only costs $15k, and the degree you get is the exact same one as the traditional on campus masters degree, so I would have a masters in CS from the 34th top ranked CS school (tied with Northeastern and Virginia Tech) to put on my resume.
