I can't say that I'm like a prophet or anything, but when I saw how terribly designed that 8 was, Microsoft starting to push online accounts for logging in to your P(ersonal)C(omputer), and then the intrusive and pushy way that they tried to get their customers to switch to 10, I realized that I was completely at the mercy of Microsoft and whatever retarded decisions that they forced upon me. So instead of making the upgrade (downgrade) from 7 to 10 on my PC, I just decided to peace out then and there and switched to Linux. As the years have gone by, and the term "enshittification" has become a significant part of our cultural lexicon, I have only become more vindicated, more than I ever could have imagined, that I made the right choice.
