Its usually bogged with files stretching above 1000 lines with incompatible library and programming language versions and all which modern ides make an easy breeze.I didn't feel the need to adopt an ide and just use my neovim setup during my college days because most of the stuff I worked on were written by me and I could easily navigate between the files and code.
