Man, I love Firefox so much bros. Who doesn't love constant memory leaks?
>>109566418i dont know i use all browser every time i open 2000 porn tabs and it's unusable and starts taking up 25GB on launch and 8GB vram i have to make a new profile
>>109566418there's a javascipt fix for youtube, easy enough to find if you weren't retarded. beyond that i haven't had any memory issues on linux.
that's just the modern HTML standardhttps://html.spec.whatwg.org/
>>109566418it's pretty much the only browser with support for ublock origin anymore, and several other pluginsit is what it is
>>109566418muh firefox memwuruwu leaks :3yet I've never seen a single nigger run it through something like valgrind fucking moron faggots. at least try to make the shilling look real. goddamn nigger monkeys of course, this thread will stay up, because the jannies are fucking retarded faggots
there are about:config tweaks pertaining to tab unloading.
>>109566477Why are you defending Mozilla?
>>109566418post about:memory then retard
>>109566418Didn't they rewrite it in Rust?
>>109566418>Win11You clearly give no fucks about your privacy or ads why are you using firefox anyway?
>>109566418just restart the browser
>>109567100Why should I have to do that?
>>109567116for the same reason you take the shower
>>109566418Why is Windows Defender using 150mb when it does absolutely nothing nor protects your PC?
>>109566418Skill issue.
>>109566418You have a steam account so It's probably a user issue.
>>109566418Literally never happens. I have firefox with 20-30 tabs open at all times on all my machines, sometimes don't restart for months at a time. I open Chromium and it is immediately using 3x more ram with only a few fairly light tabs.Do you come here just to make shit up? Just lie for no reason? dumb.
>>109566486same here, i will gladly give up some ram as long as i can use extensions and ublock origin
>>109569055>>109566486As far as I'm aware, firefox is also the only major browser that supports noscript too. Can't have the chrome goyim blocking ads on jewtube, even if it means they're forced to have every javascript under the sun enabled on every webpage they visit kek. That being said, firefox does seem to have issues with memory leaks. I've noticed this myself. The amount of wasted RAM tends to be quite small (ranging from 0.5 to 1.5 GB) and requires firefox to be constantly open for many hours or even days to actually occur, but 1 extra GB of memory is still very noticeable, especially on older computers with less RAM. Closing and re-opening firefox works as a temporary fix, but that doesn't fix the underlying issues involved. If someone were to create a competent, independent browser that has nothing to do with firefox/gecko or chromium/blink, they could potentially snatch a massive percentage of users from both firefox and chrome, probably very quickly too.
>>109566418vibeshitted.
>every tab crashes and memory consumption spikes the fuck upOh no!>restart firefoxAnyway, back to fappin
>system slows down>~90% RAM usage>firefox at 10GB+ >close all but 1 window with 1 tab>memory only drops by a few GB You really can't hate web devs enough.
>>109566418>Firefox (41)>Chrome (19)
>>109569439>>109569313visit about:memory and press measure the next time it happensit might be enlightening
about:memory
>>109569589thanks, i will
>>109569206Brave also maintains noscript but I don't know why you'd use it. Seems like an annoyance and probably just makes fingerprinting you easier. uBO is sufficient.
does firefox ESR have at least a somewhat usable UI?I'm so fucking sick and tired of the constant>PLEASE ENJOY THE NEW UI SAAAAAAARwhere you can tell immediately that none of those FUCKING pieces of shit ever used the software they "wrote" the UI for
>>109566418>firefox: 41 tabs>chrome: 19 tabsokay retard>winblowsthat explains your mental retardation
>>109566418my firefox usually uses under one gigabyte of memory
>>109566418my firefox does this after coming out of sleep if i dare to have left a comfyUI tab open
>>109570568>firefox: 0.36GB per tab>chrome: 0.12GB per tab
>>109566418in contrast, firefox won't bother until you actually are running low on memory
