Software engineering is dead. I just ask ai and it does everything. Back then programming was hard prestigious job with deep learning curve and wild field. Now ai can do everything and so its not even rewarding anymore to build something. Oh you want to be a webdev? People just use shopify or some blog template.
youve made this post 9348493543 timesAI isn't a code owner. AI code is essentially "orphan", similar to if you copied a code snippet off of SOwhich means it's fine to use for small utility functions but as soon as you let it create your actual business logic you are immediately creating a tech debt that can only be filled by either manually going in and taking ownership of the code (reading it and understanding it yourself, adapting it to how you'd do it, which is difficult with AI because its style fluctuates as it's a mishmash of code from the last four decades), or by just giving them more money for more tokens to have the AI try to understand its own code and add to the problemAI companies are not turning a profit, so you will very likely run into them changing the deal on you, but even if they don't, you are doing the equivalent of when a cartoon character runs off a ledge. as long as you don't look down it's ok, right?
