Soup /g/roids. Have you escaped the Synologoy plantation? What NAS do you use? What besides data storage do you use it for?

I'm building a TrueNAS machine with enough power to run my ever growing list of Dockers. Any inputs?

Motherboard: ASRock Rack B650D4U-2L2T/BCM
CPU: AMD EPYC 4545P (16c/32t, 65W, 64MB L3)
Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S
RAM: 2x Crucial DDR5 ECC UDIMM 2Rx8 4800 32GB
Boot SSD: 2x Whatever cheap shit I can find
Case: SilverStone CS382
PSU: be quiet! Pure Power 12 M 550W
Internal HBA: LSI 9300-8i
Internal cables: 2x SFF-8643 to 4x SATA breakout
External HBA: LSI 9300-8e

I'm probably going to connect that to a HighPoint RocketStor 6438S filled with old drives for backing up the NAS via the external HBA.

That's not a good cpu for server
TDP way too high

It's basically an am5 cpu.
As long as it can idle at a very low wattage it should be decent for a home environment.

It's 65w which seems decent to me or did I miss something?

Retard I know what cpu it is.
It won't idle at very low wattage

>What NAS do you use?

Build currently in progress:
>Case: Jonsbo N3 (8-bay)
>PSU: Corsair SF750 (was lying around)
>CPU: Ryzen Pro 4650G (Zen 2 with iGPU and ECC support)
>Cooler: Amd Wraith Prism (was lying around)
>Mobo: Gigabyte b550i
>RAM: 2x 32gb DDR4 ECC UDIMM
>Cards: Startech 4-port M.2 to SATA (ASM1064)
>Cards: Adt-link pcie x8 slot + 2x M.2 slots from pcie x16 slot
>Cables: Some thin SATA cables off aliexpress

Thinking to use:
>6 bays for data+parity.
>1 bay empty for inevitable need for
zfs replace
.
>1 bay + 1 m.2 for OS.
>1 m.2 for startech thing
>2 m.2 for optane sticks

Ryzen because have some other ryzen bits and pieces, and no recent intel parts.

I moved my storage to my workstation/media pc since I live alone and I don't need media to be online all the time
