What's the usecase behind a site having captchas that expire in like 20 seconds after you fill them out? Is it a pure humiliation ritual? Why would a site be designed like this unless it just hated it's users and the thought of them suffering made the designer get hard?
I think this is a very needed discussion in tech design spaces that should be discussed on this technology board.

The point is to make you buy the pass.

No reason. They are pointless. Defeated security model. Now if you want security, it's:

>Oauth2 SSO (I hate it, but it's the best)
>Manual approval (massive friction, most people leave at that point)
>Deal with potential spam, use detection signals at the edge (cloudflare workers is great for this, but not the only solution)
>Overengineering it tier: robust logging/observability/grafana throughout the application, combined with JA4+ fingerprint: see https://github.com/FoxIO-LLC/ja4/tree/main/zeek for what the real world pipeline looks like
