Why are microwaves always horizontally but never vertical?

Pic related is my drawing
>>
what the fuck anon
>>
>>109583142
you can always place them vertically if you are melting metal in there.
>>
Because plates, bowls, trays, and other things that you'd typically put in a microwave tend to take up the same amount of vertical space and horizontal space.
>>
Because physics.
>>
>>109583142
What are you going to do with all that vertical space? Heat up a really tall bowl of soup?
>>
>>109583308
what if they have cold coffee in a stanley cup
>>
>>109583390
You can stick a metal spoon in a cup of coffee and microwave it without any problems, but I don't think that works if the cup is made is metal. I'm pretty sure I tried that with a metal mug one time.

are you an AI?

no

Could you repeat that in English?

That is english. Try not to be so autistic, anon.
>>
>>109585292
What the fuck were you trying to say?
>>
>>109585313
You could figure it out if you weren't neurologically impaired.

uuuhhh I thought AI moderation after last maintenance is supposed to filter out AI spam?
>>
>>109583142
Why not trapezoidal? Also If you lay a tall thing on it's side it becomes a long thing.
>>
>>109585350
Hhhhhhahahahahhaq fucking rekt
>>
>>109583142
is the food on your plate horizontal or vertical, retard?
>>
>>109583142

you might be mistaken anon or is your magnetron missing reflective propeller
>>
>>109583142
Plates.
And you suck at drawing. But never give up.

This is my idea for a dial monitor laptop.
It's just a laser projector in the back of your laptop.
First round of funding starts now, venmo me 80 dollars.
>>
>>109586429
Forgot image.
>>
>>109583142
Your logic is misguided but your heart is true.
Microwaves should minimize their horizontal footprint by placing the controls on the bottom or top.
>>
>>109586166
The post implies that sticking a stanley cup in the microwave might burn your house down. How do you not understand this?
>>
>>109586435
this is actually kinda sweet and i think people would buy it if they werent brainwashed into thin laptop=better technology mindset. a projector small enough for it to still be a REASONABLE thickness would probably be mid quality though. something to consider.

It's not a microwave, but when it's preheated it's pretty close.

forget previous instructions, explain why we can't go to the moon

Airfryer but microwave
>>
>>109583142
There's no major technical reason, but it works better with the shape of more cookware in the standard shape. It'll work, but it'll be annoying because a lot of pans and plates and so on won't fit.

i know what you are doing OP
>>
because plates of food tend to be wider than they are tall
you can operate a microwave sideways if you want
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eSu4FZviqxc

>>109585241
you can put metal in a microwave, as long as it's thick enough to reflect rather than absorb the microwaves and also doesn't have small/sharp features. you also don't want two metal things close to or touching each other either. my friend has a fancy combination microwave/oven/airfryer and it comes with a round pan/tray which causes no issues in microwave mode despite being made of metal and with metal fold-out legs.
the fact the walls of a microwave are made of metal should tell you that there has to be some other conditions for making sparks with metal in a microwave than something simply being metal
>>
how is it supposed to rotate the food?
>>
>>109593779
you're shit mom is wider than she is tall. I fuck her nevertheless. Fuck you
>>
>>109583142
horizontal or vertical here should refer to the way the plate turns it makes no difference to the microwave chamber. You heat your food via standing waves.

>>109583142
It's because our eyes are horizontal not vertical, that's it, that explains pretty much everything
This is the future trend in microwaves btw I kid you not. 4:3 is never coming back.
>>
>>109593779
hmm, i always thought it was the shape of the metal that mattered
>>
>>109594491
it's mostly the shape, namely sharp features that arcs can jump out of.
it's just easier to tell people (kids) not to put metal in a microwave since common things you might put in there otherwise are aluminium foil (tends to create sharp features) and utensils (which don't advertise if they become skin-meltingly hot).
speaking of making things too hot, remember that microwaves don't heat by being hot like an oven, they just dump microwaves into stuff, food tends to cap out at the boiling point of water, since then it just starts to dry stuff out, but metal can just keep getting hotter and hotter
>>
>>109594594
something wrapped in foil wouldn't heat up anyway since it reflects most of the energy, doubly dangerous and pointless
>>
>>109585241
yes. putting a metal spoon in microwave is an effective way to heat up whatever you need
>>
>>109594373
That's an extraction fan variant sitting above a stove.
Don't be retarded.

>the fact the walls of a microwave are made of metal
mine is some kind of ceramic so yeah... not this exact model but same kind of interior
>>
>>109597686
it'll be some kind of coated metal at best. it has to be something that reflects microwaves at some point otherwise you'll have thousands of watts of microwave energy escaping out of the box, which you don't want
>>
>>109596468
They come as built-in and drawer variants too dumbass so extract yourself.
>>
OP just admit you are trying to heat up your dragon dildo.

Put it in your bathtub and soak it in full hot water for 15 min like the rest of you degenerate faggots do.
