might as well just get a wrist strap for your smartphone.

Apple protects their data unlike jeetdroid watches who are cheap and need to sell data to make money.
>>
>>109583907
>Apple doesn't spy on you
LMAO
Anyone want to tell this retard?
>>
>>109583919
Yeah they don't spy on normal-fags jogging, but android watches do sell their data of normal fags jogging.

If you are talking about governemnt spying, that's baseline of every device connected to the internet.
>>
>>109583801
So what? They already know my name, adress, phone number, access to my phone camera, email, porn habits and near everything else. Same goes for 99% of people around me.
>>
>>109583907
>Apple protects their data
Lmao

You have surrendered.

They just chose to stop making them look good for some reason. I bought a Gear S2 Classic (pic related) in 2015 and it looks pretty good

Dunno I love my amazfit active 2, look almost as regular watches, people can't even tell the difference at first.
>>
>>109584780
>>109584763
apple told the feds to fuck off when they wanted in someone's iphone. Droidjeets open it up for them without as much as a pretty please :)

>>109584145
good looking watches are swiss made.
>>
>>109583360
Because there's literally zero legitimate useful practical reason for 99.9% of people to own a smartwatch so that the people who actually do need the functionality will buy it regardless of the fact that it's ugly and they don't have to spend the time or money to design something that appeals to a wide range of people.

Ironically, 99.9% of people who do actually buy a smartwatch also have zero legitimate useful practical reason to use it. These things are purchased by people who are looking to fill void in their lives by knowing additional random information. Virtually nobody has ever improved their life because they learned that they drifted out of REM sleep for 7 minuites at 2:36AM or that their pulse is 69BPM.
>>
>>109584903
sure they might say that publicly but the feds still found a way in somehow :^)
>>
>>109584789
You can customize the face however you like.
>>
>>109584940
I guess it's nice if you are more seriously into some sport and want to track your recovery.
>>
>>109584903
Are we still parroting that ONE case from years ago?
>>
>>109583375
Objective.
>>
>>109583801
Are there not any FOSS smartwatch operating systems?

retarded technology made for retards and retards have no sense of taste, they're too retarded for that
>>
>>109584903
Feds aren't even the annoyance, they'll find a way anyways if it comes to that. 1st party might be trustworthy (not) but the 3rd party _relies_ on sniffing everything they can from you.
>>
>>109584040
Well, if you really don't care, why won't you share with us all anon? Your legal name, address, phone number, SSN and so on. You don't seem to care who knows about it and you'll gladly give those away so why not post them here?
>>
>>109583360
>why are smartwatches so fucking ugly
looks better than this shit
>>>109585810
>>
>>109584940
Good point, does it have any legit use cases?
>>
>>109583801
Tell me, oh enlightened anon, what can corporations do with that information?
If I end up in the ER, or in the hopital, or in the morgue, then that's that. What are they gonna do, offer to pay my bills?
>>
>>109584145
>bad looking one is square
>good looking one is circle
Sounds like you have a type. Good for you, doesn't mean either one is good or bad.
>>
>>109590494
Dynamic pricing for example.
>>
I miss the old-school ones before they became full-screen
>>
>>109583360
xiaomi smart band 10 its like $40bux and minimalist, does all the stuff you could need. i never got the appeal of these huge ugly faces. and i almost bought a suunto vertical.
>>
>>109583360
manchild toys for 30yo retards with too much money to waste. anytime a watchfag tells you they need it, ask what it does a smartphone doesn't. they never have an actual answer that isn't ''I-I need one because the other drones in my work do!''
>>
>>109583360
You have to understand that half of the point of these watches is to be ostentatious and visible to others. The design is about making sure others know you have a smartwatch. Many things are like this because many people are motivated entirely by spectacle. They are NPC's more or less. Almost no one else buys these things because they're useless.
>>
>>109584549
it takes about 10 minutes max to teach a seven year old how to read an analog clock. You should be able to figure it out in 20.
>>
>>109584940
>zero legitimate use
You live in a narcissistic society and the ability to obsess over the "data" of one's own body fuels that narcissism greatly. For those people this is extremely useful. It gives them ten different categories in which they can become better than others.

yeah, they should do it this way.
