I finally found out why these dumb adapters constantly die on you. It always felt so weird to me because it was clearly the wire, not the chip and the reason is so goddamn simple: it's because the cord is super short so when you bend it it has less leeway to flex and absorb the bend. If you take a long cable and bend it on one point the copper can actually stretch and move through the entire cable to absorb this.

Braided cables don't do shit either because usually only the outside is braided which only protects the housing. You need an actual multicore cable where the internal wiring is actually braided.

Also, apparently the USB-C standard makes it practically impossible to sanely hub, only allow charging, so that's why all these game controllers that plug into your phone with an extra port only expose charging through it, what a great idea.

All that for reversibility like it even matters, just put a clear indicator on the top side or something.

i have 8 strand or whatever you call it chink 0.2m cable and it hasnt broken yet

Oh wow, it actually exists, cheap and from China too.
The actual wiring of the cable itself is braided here.

Yeah, that thing. That's what I need.

I seriously went through 4 different of these fucks already and I had no idea what the problem could be until it hit me that it's because the wire is so short. My actual minijack->mini XLR cable that goes into my headphone is an 8core which has lasted for so long. I always felt it was a bit overkill but I can see that it might be needed with a strand so short. How long have you been running this?

that dac chip isnt perfect but it's probably transparent enough unless you have autism

I've been using the Apple one for 3 years and it still works perfectly. It has a thin floppy cable, which I expected to last maybe a couple months, but it's been surprisingly durable.
It's also the cleanest-sounding one of the ones I've tried, despite being the cheapest.

If you need the headphone jack, why don't you just buy a phone with a headphone jack anon?
>>
>>109591132
Never had the cable die, only the type c plug getting loose and disconnecting when pushed from the side. If it's actually the cable that dying on you there are DACs with replaceable cables and small multicore cables for them.
>>
Instead of a dongle and wire, it should just be a static attachment to the port you can plug directly into, to avoid this problem and simplify the whole affair. Would probably be cheaper and easier to manufacture as well

I'll take the ability to fold over that.

The rigid ugreen one. They all use the same realtek chips anyway, outside of the audiofool brands.

redmagic 11s pro has the best soc in the world, a really big battery, a fan that prevents the soc from throttling and a headphone jack

>It always felt so weird to me
What feels weird to me is the way everyone just bent over and accepted having USB-C shoved up their ass as a replacement for the cheap, tried and true, reliable, functional and ubiquitous 3.5mm audio jack.

I have a few SAN Disk "clip sport plus" MP3 player. It weighs 32 grams and the only part likely to break is the actual clip itself (which I don't need). The interface is slow and the screen is small and awkward, but the buttons are solid and reliable, no touch-screen bullshit. No bluetooth cutting out for no apparent reason. The 3.5mm jack never fails me. I can just fucking listen to music on my comfortable 10-year-old noise canceling headphones with zero technical problems. The volume buttons only control the one type of volume the device is capable of, no accidentally turning your phone ringer volume up when you were trying to turn your music up and vice-versa.

I can't deny that getting into my car and just having my phone auto-connect with bluetooth and pick up the last thing I was listening to on my tardphone is rather nice, but I miss having the option to just plug in anything I want to play to the 3.5mm aux jack.

>L-shaped adapter
>L-shaped headphone connector
I wonder. Will it be retarded, or is this literal 4D-chess?? I want to stuff my final E3000 in it~
>>
>>109592401
I know them, they're extremely obnoxious due to the direction of the wire. I have one but I gave up on using it because the wire just bends in such an obnoxious way, especially with a foldable it's just in the way.
Maybe with an l-shaped minijack connector again though.
>>
>>109593564
Because it's retarded. I can just use my dedicated player instead of an inferior alternative.
>>
Wireless > wired.
Them's the rules.
