I’ve been thinking about the datacenter problem and I have to say that I think the techbros might be fucking it up for themselves. The obvious model is to get everyone hooked and then enshitify, but they’re ignoring the most important driver of technology - porn.VHS was porn.DVD porn again.Online credit card billing invented by and for porn.And yet all the big boys on the enshitify model are so heavily censored half the time they refuse to draw “a woman”.Ultimately the hyperscalers are going to get btfo by small scale systems with slower but more creative output, and the place we’ll see that really start to take off is porn.
