You run a multi-user OS on every computer you own. Do you actually have a second account set up that another human uses, either at the keyboard/touchscreen or remotely?

Yes.

You do realize that most operating systems don't support multiple simultaneous graphic sessions, right? At least on Linux you can operate system simultaneously by graphic and ssh session.
And multi-user functionality used primarily by file and access isolation.

win32 is the most stable userland API on troonix.
ubtuntu is growing faster on WSL than on native troonix

What do you mean, "multi-user"? My OS is configured solely for a single user: me. Just because Linux supports multiple UIDs and GIDs does not mean that it is "multi-user," it's moreso useful for isolation.

I run any large application under a different user

my my personal computers, they're personal. but i host email on my server so there are a few other users using it for that. while they have actual system accounts they aren't given shell access so idk if that counts

linux is the most stable kernel ABI on windows.
the desire to run linux is growing on windows.

Nope

yeah cuz troonix doesn't work natively, it needs windows underneath to be usable.

not op but linux is multi-user, as in it supports multiple independent users at the same time. even when you're the only person using it you're still using multiple accounts, as some programs will be using their own accounts mainly for permission/security reasons.
it was normal back in the days of family computers to have accounts for each member (XP was the first consumer windows to be multi-user as it moved to NT, and that was still during the family pc era).

i wonder if op is really asking about multi-seat setups, since just have other accounts by itself was never anything special or interesting on its' own. multi-seat is when you have more than one person at the same computer at the same time.

The irony is the reverse is the actual truth.

what? everyone uses single-user os's?
>>
>>109602067
No. The other users are for securely running services and keeping them from reading my / each other's data in case of a breach.

since none of you can read, I'm asking about humans not services, and they don't have to be simultaneous

a shared desktop, e.g. you use it in the morning and your gf's bf uses it in the afternoon, would count

You know nothing about the Windows kernel
