I get a hologram is hard to make, but what about 3D images in flat monitors?Imagine having a fake window to a paradise, where you can see the place from every angle.Led TV shall focus on that instead being 300 inches wide.
>>109606231Those 3D billboards started in Korea and then got copied by China and then finally made it to Japan and other SEA countries. Its a meme that somehow took off but if you look at the billboard, it only looks good from like one angle. Otherwise you lose the 3D effect.Whatever though.
>>109606231Samsung pioneered 3D displays that don't require glasses. But its only available in large monitor sizes. Its going to take a while before they scale them up for billboards and commercial marketing and stadium use but its planned. You just need to wait like 5 years.
>>109607193Real world feedback on their glasses less 3D displays is pretty impressive too so its not a gimmick, its legit.
>>109607183So it's a forced perspective shot on a curved screen?
>>109607230Yeah, its always been that way. Korean's set it up as an art installation at first but tourists started to freak out over it saying its the best thing ever so it started to go viral in Asia and now here we are, worshiping a stupid curved billboard that only looks good in one angle. The truly glasses less 3D display exists now but Samsung is the only to have it though and they are going to bring it to large advertisements for buildings, stadiums, and entertainment use but its only available in gaming monitor sized for now. That will be impressive and until then the current '3d' billboards are just a meme.
We have the technology
>>109606231Just get some VR goggles.

The glasses free tech I've always seen involves putting a little tiny beamsplitter lens on every other line or something like that. It would be interesting to know how they do that with a large screen viewable from many angles and distances.
these billboards work better with cameras than human eyes. In reality they don't look that good.
>>109606231AI CHADS WINNINGSNAILCATS SEETHING
>>109607183>>109606231Korea doesn't only use the curved screens. They have flat screens with simulated 3D video.
>>109607839The curved ones just look okay if you ask me. I'll wait for true 3D displays.
>>109607839It must be terribly distracting, how come there are no accidents down there?
>>109607886Everyone who lives there has seen these billboards everywhere so they don't stand out anymore. And they can only play it a certain amount of times anyway due to safety laws so its not like its always on 24/7. Plus every modern car has lane assist and breaking crap so what ever.
>>109607905The displays have different coatings and adaptive brightness so it looks vibrant during the day when sunlight is directly shining on it to night time where it doesn't blind everyone passing by.
>>109607978Its everywhere in Korea. Even in Busan.
