How to utilize AI in a way that won't rot my brain? Mainly asking to speed up studying in college.
Moderation matters IMO.
use notebooklm or ask chatgpt to make templates for essays. use the time you aren’t at school to read books, exercise, socialize etc. >>109606663this
If you're going to use LLMs, remember that it's just a tool, not an second brain or an omnipotent being. It was created by fallible human software engineers and is prone to making mistakes.
>>109606654Use it as a search engine rather than letting it do the work. If you make it do work, only make it do small bits at a time and rewrite the output yourself instead of copy pasting
>How to utilize AI in a way that won't rot my brain? Mainly asking to speed up studying in college. You don't use this, when using AI?
>>109606681*not a second brainSee, fallible just like that.
You know those disclaimers on LLM websites warning that AI can make mistakes? Many people seem to ignore those warnings for whatever reason. Don't be one of those people.
>>109606654You learn how to prompt. Then you Prompt it to give you coursework. It's good for giving you sources and learning Material.
>>109606654AI is good at giving you step by step learning procedures and stuff. In my case, if I want to learn something new, I ask it to design a course that's bite sized and covers a single or two topics in one hour. For example pic related is the AI created course for my DP 600 certification(completed chapters are underneath).
