i have the option to take a tech job that will put me, at least half of the time, in an office, BUT the company will sponsor a security clearance which i know is a huge plus for job security in the long runbut currently i'm comfy making decent money in a 100% remote gig and have been remote for the past 6-7 years what do, /g/?
>>109613884I love WFH. It's the best thing that ever happened. I feel I actually own my time and my life. That's my opinion. You need to know what do you want. I cannot help you to determine it, nobody can, except you.
>>109613884Don’t underestimate the value of a clearance. You won’t get replaced by jeets if you have one and you’ll be relatively sheltered from this shit show of a job market (which is here to stay for at least another couple years). WFH is amazing, trust me I know, but the stability in the long run is something to genuinely think about, especially in this economy. Depending on the job, most cleared govt type roles are 40 hours a week anyways unless you’re working for Anduril or some hipster startup. Start putting on pants anon
>>109614992This. You'll have to go into the office every day but job security will be extremely high and you'll barely do any work.
>>109615038>>109614992Job safety exists in jobs with a clearance but even there layoffs happen regularly (nasa for example). Speaking simply about a 5 days / week office job there is no job security at all because your role can be outsourced to India or Eastern Europe at any moment. In this senseany job with clearance > wfh without clearance > office without clearanceAnd yes in companies like Palantir and Anduril and other similar ones there are performance reviews so you will not be able to do nothing and coast.
>>109613884>at least half of the time, in an officebro it's not even 100% in office AND it's cleared? take the fucking job
