>>109618575wew. those systems are amazing. pretty much this but what i want is far cheaper to implement. i was thinking of something like having support for cv and analog but the main system (the digital side in the modules) all talking on a high speed bus. that way you could hijack a couple of unused pins on the eurorack bus and talk to each other. plug in a midi module onto the bus and keyboard/computer then no more painful cv patching. my other more elaborate and expensive idea is to connect modules up using fiber cable to a central router that will communicate with all of the modules and shit out data at tremendous speeds. nobody will complain about latency lol.

You can't even tune an instrument without knowing a bare minimum amount of theory. It's a ridiculous thing that only someone who has no idea what music theory is would ever say. Most people who say this know some amount of theory without knowing that they do. Also the posted song is horrible and annoying.

>>109623312well yeah there's some minimum amount of theory that you get for free with learning an instrument so that you can play in different scales and apply different rhythms. but historically, at least outside of mainstream genres it has been possible for random kids without any deep knowledge of music theory to succeed. even in melodic genres like hardstyle, some producers think they can arrange notes in the piano roll in their DAW almost at random without any real thought behind it. their DAW can apply training wheels to keep you in a scale. the low effort in such genres is partially what made me get into music production, because i know i can do it better than them. then there's a whole other cargo cult with youtubers like david bennett, cadence hira and to some extent rick beato where they think it's like the be-all and end-all to use 4d chess jazzy chords but they don't actually teach you how to write great songs, it's more like pretentious brainrot content.
