The Lunduke Computer Operating System (LCOS) version 0.2 is out

The primary focus on this 0.2 release has been three key areas:

a) Improving the build system to have a stable base going forward.
b) Replacing the installer with one that is more reliable and easier to use.
c) Trim down the size of the system.

Changes in 0.2:

Moved to a new (more reliable) installer.

Reduced ISO file size significantly (600MB smaller).

Added: Zork I, I, & III

Added: Micropolis (open source SimCity), & AisleRiot Solitare

Added: Word Processor (AbiWord) & Spreadsheet (GNUmeric)

LundukeOS is what Windows 7 baby ducks should switch to.

LundukeOS has cut out a lot of the rubbish that many Linux distros have faced. It is good enough for web browsing and every day office tasks on old computers, but it won't replace the majority of distros or be as productive as modern Windows 11 computers.

LundukeOS is catering to a specific niche, but its a good option for that niche.
