Google Wave was the best. Shame it never caught on.

This was responsible for normalizing
>REAL NAME ONLY
along with Facebook. Had Google pushed back against it, its possible Facebook could have been framed as the odd man out, but no they wanted those same surveillance capitalism dollars, so they started demanding everyone put their real name on their profiles and purging those that seemed fake. Not to say that Facebook didn't have their role, but Google could have really done something about it especially at that time

To this day I still don't fully understand what happened. One day every single Google account, including the YouTube ones, became Google Plus accounts. Then within no time at all, they went back. You can still see remnants of this if you open profile pictures in a new tab, the link might still say Google Plus.

Also, I suspect that it has something to do with the way YouTube channel urls bug out. Some of them are /c/channelname, others are @channelname, and others are /channel/channelname. And some are just random numbers. Maybe they fixed it now, but for a long time it would bug out and 404 on certain channel pages for no reason at all, making it impossible to open the videos page or any page at all.

I honestly thought that was autocomplete gone very wrong, I even overlooked "chillge".
