Linus tech tips went to Germany and had a tour of the Hetzner data center.
What do you think?

Is it really true that he's a kike?

Depends how you define one.

Is his mother Jewish?

Where is the toxic goo and loud noise?
>>

German Data Center just sounds like a modern cover for a crematorium.
I heard they have a roller-coaster at the right wing rehabilitation center
>>
>>109635066
God bless Germany. Now I want to get fucking Hetzner storage, to backup my NAS
>>
>>109635243
No.
>>
>>109635066
propaganda piece to get people to support datacenter buildouts
>>
I wish they covered some of the networking hardware
>>
We love data centers on this board.
>>
>>109635404
That'd be too professional and scare the audience.

>>109635427
>require good cooling
>paint it black
Bet it never even snows there.

That you should buy a fucking ad, LMG wagie

The black cube looks are on purpose.

Hetzner VPSes are utterly flooded with poobots and suck

Her mother was half-Jewish.

Why not cover the roof in solar panels?
>>
>>109636004
because the welcoming citizens of that county will gladly give their electricity, water and taxes in exchange of the dozen jobs from the data center activities.
>>
>>109635066
Boring tbr, these datacenters all look alike.
>>
>>109635394
I don't think so, he talks a lot on WAN show how the data centers are stupid
>>
>>109635432
Kek

I’ll never watch this paid operative and neither should you

data center :[

datacenter, germany :O

>>109635404
They didn't...? Then what the fuck is the purpose? That's usually the most interesting part beyond the cloud shits. Let me guess, he just went 'WOWIE ZOWIE THIS IS HOW THEY COOL SHIT, LOOK AT THOSE WIRES, HEY IT'S A COMPUTER INSIDE LOL'
>>
If you have a server outage in August will it take a month for anyone to get back to you like the rest of Europe?
>>
>>109635394
>propaganda piece to get people to support datacenter buildouts
Based, exactly what the US needs data centers.
>>
>>109635449
Black surfaces are both good emitters and absorbers of heat. White surfaces are the opposite. You can't have it both ways.
>>
I saw it and ngl it looks a mess in there no wonder it's so cheap
>>
>>109638673
>Black surfaces are both good emitters and absorbers of heat.
American education
>>
>>109635066
Very interesting, but not sure if this is great PR for them. Probably the majority of their customers don't really care about these things and just want cheap hardware that works "most of the time"
Maybe they just didn't show it, but it looks like the extent of their hardware testing is testing individual components, and even then we've only seen them running drive tests. Given their small scale and custom server build process I'd doubt they have good full system coverage, there's a million things that can and do go wrong with servers, hyperscalers tend to see like a 1-2% defect rate, and it's a lot worse with newer AI accelerators, I definitely wouldn't trust them to build a multi GPU system for me like that one customer apparently did
>>
>>109635247
That's only for America. Europe has regulations
>>
Also, Linus, you use IPMI to talk to a BMC, not to the BIOS. Otherwise you could only use IPMI to control the server for a brief window while it's booting up
>>
worthless for anything but hosting websites
>>
>>109635427
It's beyond my comprehension why - even if it's just a performative act - there are no regulations that flat roofs of heavy electricity drawing industries have to be covered in solar panels entirely.
Not even the EU has that.

kek. screencapped.
>>
how much of Hetzner, Leaseweb and OVH is basically just warez and warez-adjacent?
I remember that megaupload was pretty much 20% of The Netherland's GDP.
>>
>>109636546
this
>>
>>109636907
Yeah I haven't watched it but I'm trying to imagine what it is.
>Wow guys look, you can pull the tiles in the floor up and that's where they run all the cables!
