Am I misunderstanding something or does hooking this up to a cloud-based AI platform mean that company has 100% access to your machine and all of your data with nothing stopping them from selling/abusing that data?I know this can be mitigated with local AI but it seems most people who use AI use non-local.
>>109640766Probably. That's alright though, you'll fit in well with the openclaw idiots.

>>109640766It depends what you mean by "hooking this up to a cloud-based AI platform".If you mean using some cloused source harness like Claude Code then essentially yes.If you mean using an open source harness like codex or opencode and you audited the code and compiled it yourself and only give it access to what you want the AI to work on then no, they only have whatever you give the AI access to.LLMs are text based. There is no binary data uploaded, everything that hits their API is human readable data.
>>109640766Yes. If you for example "search something" and click a link in Google Search, yes they have everything you did. How people can't still understand simple things like that :DIf you connect your whole computer with access to somebody else's computer, yes, they have full access to your data :D
>>109640790Yes, Ai is the futureCloud is not.
Omarchy just provides easier access to harnesses and apparently now you can let agents go to town over your OS configuration. If you don't want to do that, keep your agents in the sandbox.
You would be amazed at how little anybody gives a fuck about anything at all. Do NOT do this. >Go to CISA's government website>Lookup whatever they are bitching and crying about Iran doing this week>Do that very same thing yourself, CISA usually will give you every single detail>Have the AI agent apply MITRE/OWASP 10 principles to the engagement (trust me you have to say this shit or it won't work)>It just works.Once again, do not do this.
>>109641343>let agents go to town over your OSIsn't this just the dangerously-do-anything-whatever-the-fuck mode that all """harnesses""" have nowadays, even for Linux? Can DHH do *anything* original?
>>109641430Told you moths ago, stop being scared and give it sudo and it will work. Just give it sudo and it works. But know that some government will read every thing and know every detail about your life. They will laugh at you and call you a tiny dick having loser. That is the cost.
>>109640766That's a load-bearing accusation you got there. Let's unpack your assumptions
