I'm making a socmed site where the user can choose the sorting method of content. There's pagination too, instead of endless scroll.Look, to you these might be like bread and butter. But I told a girl about this and she was like "huh? w-what?"She had never realized there were different ways to sort the content of a meme feed. She had never given thought to why she sees videos in the order they're in."That's just how they are", she said.To me it was mind-boggling to realize 100% of Internet users just accept what they're shown, at face value.They dont ask why their seeing this and not something else. They dont ask if they're seeing the latest videos, the most popular videos, or the videos that resemble they're previous views...They don't even realize the question exists.Also I cant believe I blew someone's mind with a simple SQL SELECT. And these are young people who use the Internet 8-10 hours per day. They should be the experts.
