I keep a chromebook around as a beater and terminal machine, it's basically a 10" netbook with coreboot, more foss than a librebooted thinkpad.It's pretty shit for anything else, I keep a thinkpad around when I want to do anything more useful.
there is that one chinkbook that is pretty small, chuwi is the company name. it is smaller than my x230 at the very least

Most chromebooks conform to a typical 14'' widescreen laptop whereas netbooks were typically as small as 9'' screens (though most were 10 or 11 inches) and the keyboard barely fit into the chassis. Look at a chromebook, they kept the shitty performance but placed it in a typical mass-market laptop.

Both fell apart after two years though. Closest thing after that was the Surface Go, but those things were ruined with win11.
