>horseshit at everything but somehow the only LLM to understand music theory well
Google search ai mogs every other ai ive tried so far, includikg gemini
>>109655890isnt that like some shitty gemma one
I havent run into have to make music yet but so far gemini is pretty worthless in terms of development for me. It ran processes fine after wrangling it for a while but after some time on the same page it completely forgot the entire process of how to handle what I was asking meaning it has no memory persistence. It also cant execute python scripts or capsules or modify my files directly. It recently can at least actually read zips with >10 files. Gemini is unimpressive not sure what google is doing it is certainly not for production. It is good for reading files made by other ai in more human terms and as a sandbox where you throw in anything and dont expect anything of value out of it, I also use it because it doesnt contaminate my gpt or claude with junk as a random assistant for daily tasks rather than production
>>109655890Is the Google search AI not Gemini? Whenever ChatGPT hallucinates multiple retarded answers in a row, I always "resort to" the Google search AI and it gives me a succinct, correct answer on the first try 9/10 times.
>>109655943What are you even trying to do?
>>109655822It's weird, it's not very good overall but it's trained on some niche subjects I care about where other models just completely fuck up.That's why I'm seriously hoping Pro 4 releases soon. It would be the only model I'm actually excited for. 3.7 Flash is bad at writing so I'm using 3.1 Pro for the time being.
>>109655943google search AI is fairly retarded it doesnt really know much it's just tailored to pull shit off reddit on the spot
>>109655943https://blog.google/products-and-platforms/products/search/search-io-2026/#powerful-ai>May 19, 2026>Starting today, we’re upgrading Search with Gemini 3.5 Flash — our newest Flash model delivering sustained frontier performance for agents and coding — as the new default model in AI Mode for everyone globally.
>>109655951I'm just talking about general use. Information that might have otherwise taken me half an hour of sifting through search results to find. That sort of stuff.
>>109655983I do exclusively use it for general use. It cant code consistently. It randomly generated collatz manifold widgets for me that actually work but the amount of times it actually does something of value are <1% if youre syncing it with real shit
>>1096558223.1-pro is somehow still the only model worth a damn when it comes to psychology. The reddit dataset poisoning is extremely obvious for literally all other models.Claude, Deepseek, Qwen, GLM 5.2, K3, even Gemini-3.7-Flash are pure reddit tier pop-sci bullshit. Genuinely completely unusable. If you don't know what you're doing you're literally better off using dice to roll an answer and if you know what you're doing they're all just completely useless.
>>109656029i exclusively use gemini because i'm hypersensitive to emotional feedback, it's the only one that i can handle. smart clanker
>>109656029I suppose everyone has their different use cases I could give a flip about psychology
LLM's don't understand music theory, they regurgitate whatever redditor's opinion most likely matches your input, you could get 2 completely contradictory and wrong answers on music theory depending on how you ask it
>>109656029yeah but i dont want to give google data and you need a phone number to registerive never tried thoughyou can make claude be rational but it gravitates towards reddit type of answers so i'd be very interested in trying but i'm not sure how
>>109655822Its prose and personality fuckin suck, its got the reddit snark turned up to 100%, likely as it was trained on reddit.
>>109656091It literally links reddit as a source almost all the time so that makes sense.
>>109655822>only LLM to understand music theory wellso it understands homosexuality and transgenderism quite well?BASED
>>109655943On the rare occasion that I ask Gemini something trivial so as not to pollute my Claude conversation history Gemini always gets it wrong.
>>109655958Because it was assembled by a real team of experts reviewing all that shit. They spent time and resources on that.Is it perfect? No, no way. But it's only going to get better the longer they work at it.
>>109655958I was using Chatgpt but I got tired of how fucking censored it was and how it nitpicks everything I say going off on tangents about morality and ethics.
3.1 pro is still kinda underrated wish goggle would update it
>>109656079Just use openrouter, google offers one provider endpoint with zero-data-retention support, one without.>>109656062Gemini for some reason is extremely emotionally intelligent. It's just a shame that as much as 3.7-Flash is an improvement for programming it's a regression in terms of psychological knowledge because it feels genuinely autistic at times which I love kek
>>109656220Gemini is the worst of the big 4.1. Claude - master of coding and complicated reasoning 2. GPT - master of casual chat, fact checking, images3. Grok - master of being an edgelord teenager4. Gemini - master of being shit at everything
>>109656306Gemini is by far the best multi-modal model. it can identify anything in a photo.
>>109655822lol
Neither Google's search AI nor Chatgpt is particularly good for me as both can give wrong answers. I always have to double check. Google might say something is impossible and Chatgpt would give an answer and vice versa.
>>109655943chatGPT going on about shit it makes up about popular fiction is hilarious. if you ask it anything about destiny 2, it shuts down 50% of the time because destiny 2 has a lot of suicide, both canonically and in-game.
>>109655822i exclusively use gemini because google can keep it free the longest of any of the companies
>random shit on linux breaks>ask Gemini how to fix it>it actually knows how to fix itVery cool, no more scouring obscure linux forums for answers!
>>109656566They all know how to fix it. Even my shithead Ministral 14b can fix basic Linux issues.
>>109655822>somehow the only LLM to understand music theory wellWow dude almost like google owns youtube and youtube music!!!!!
>>109656612what would youtube music have on music theory?
>>109656697it got the music yt got the theory
>>109656566I wonder if the dickheads who made it the entire point of their life to be a snarky piece of shit to people trying to ask questions on online forums will kill themselves now. What do they have anymore?
>>109656728i still get to argue about minute shit
>>109655822Made it compose music with midi a few months backhttps://voca.ro/1oq7NoksAGlH
>>109655890>gemini mogs gemini makes sense chief >>109655898gemini is based on gemma
>>109656728And they do it all for free too, unlike the paid mossad agents.
>>109656306gemini is probably the most used ai in the world. i use it all the time for stuff besides coding (audio visual stuff) and it's fantastic and cheap. literally no one uses grok. sorry. i know everyone follows that tranny potatoe on xitter for hype but who the fuck is actually using it? and dont get me started on anthropic. they have literally lost all goodwill in the AI space with 1) fable being API-walled and 2) opus 5 being utter dogshit.I would rank them 1. chatgpt 2. gemini 3. anthropic 4. grook
>>109655822gemini is well regarded for multimodal use like image/audio/video recognitiondecent image genmid text genlow tier researchershit coding
