Nvidia Agrees to Buy Open Source Platform Hugging Face For $12.9 Billion

You will never be a real programmer. You have no skill, you have no knowledge, you have no ambition. You are an untalented loser twisted by prompts and chatbots into a crude mockery of an engineer.
All the “validation” you get is two-faced and half-hearted. Behind your back people mock you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your “friends” laugh at your “impressive” projects behind closed doors.
Programmers are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed coders to sniff out frauds with incredible efficiency. Even vibecoders who “pass” write uncanny and unnatural code. Your project architecture is a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get your PR accepted by a project, they’ll turn tail and bolt the second they gets a whiff of your long, em dashes in comments.
You will never be happy. You wrench out a fake smile every single morning and tell yourself it’s going to be ok, but deep inside you feel the depression creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable weight.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear – you’ll buy a rope, tie a noose, put it around your neck, and plunge into the cold abyss. Your parents will find you, heartbroken but relieved that they no longer have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll bury you with a headstone marked with your failures, and every passerby for the rest of eternity will know a vibecoder is buried there. Your codebase will decay and go back to the dust, and all that will remain of your legacy is a git history that is unmistakably slop.
This is your fate. This is what you chose. There is no turning back.

Might be a generous interpretation, but I know that I more than once came across unclear scripts requiring you to pass in unspecified files and arguments and have been "how the fuck am I supposed to use this". Yes, it's possible to read through the code to decipher whatever it's doing and what it expects, but asking "how do I use this" is defensible in those cases.

Good thing about LLMs translating, compared to specialized tools, is that you can add context, glossary, you can show it the image of the product, etc... All of this makes translation into Japanese much better, since it's a retarded language that's super easy to fuck up.

when i made my imageboard (anomaly.forum) people said "its stupid to make an imageboard geared primarily for desktop users" but then i remembered "wait, if that's so then why is the 4chan X extension so popular? it is only useful for desktop users". am i wrong? i think it is just phonefags running demoralization, but honestly all phonefags should be banned because of the majority of low effort and thus low quality posts come from phones.

pc users are smarter. easier for them to type more. more access to interesting media they can save (more storage, etc).
>>

This seems very true, sad news...
On my personal vibe coding topics, I wanted to try s decompilation, and I was curious if anyone else had.
My clanker wanted to write it's own code and do byte by byte simulations to see if it matches the original instead of reverse engineering and just mimicking the same.
I have never done a project like this but I was wondering about efficiency
>>

>>109657973
Yeahhhh anyone who thinks anything will be free after this is a moron. Someone (definitely not me teehee I'll make the logo) needs to start hoarding models right now and re-hosting them because the second Nvidia gets involved, all self-hosting is dead forever unless you have explicit developer accounts
>>
>>109658011
Snailcat is a double edged sword because it's way too cute. I too see myself as a snailcat because I don't push AI vibecoded or reviewed changes to prod. I only do unit tests.

>>109658658
>My clanker wanted to write it's own code and do byte by byte simulations
because it burns more tokens. assuming you're not self-hosting: every consumer model has an implicit "Use as many tokens as you can" type of addendum added to every prompt and context you give it in whatever caveman middleware language it's operating in on the backend. You have to tardwrangle it and know exactly how you want it to approach a problem because it will go the long way around to gouge you on $2 extra.

Schizo anon from yesterday, I can confirm that making a vibecoding agent fucking rocks and works and I don’t know why.
Tell your clanker to analyze a session if you think it went really well but was a bit too much work, then have him create a document that you can use to make another clank vibecode for you; one agent wrangles another, you only talk to the wrangler.
I’m dead serious. Sol Medium becomes Fable tier smart or smarter, but it is slow and expensive.
Try it once, see how it goes.
I watched two Sol mediums go through and rewrite an entire conflicting architecture, 2k+ lines added, 2k+ lines removed, they started hacking the Codex App Server a bit, everything was almost perfectly one shot, only one tiny change was needed, it took them 4+ hours.

>”clank, analyze the last session, I think it went well, create a document that I can use so a future agent can be created that will do what I did”
>okay, “runbook A” created
>*in the future*
>”clank, i want to do <thing>, read ‘runbook A’, then do it “
>*a vibecoding agent pair should then be created, one vibecoding agent, one executor agent*
It can be whatever, it doesn’t have to be a “runbook” or a document, it can be a skill, or whatever suits you
Try making it so the vibecoding agent isn’t allowed to read or write the repo, just like you, I wonder if that has something to do with why it works

I had to wait until I could actually try and test the thing they were working on and it works perfectly.
I have a login server handler thing, like SSO
I have another handler SSO-like thing that manages the link from the first SSO’s account to Codex, so the first is “logins” the second is “codex”
Then I have applications which are just any web app and server stack
Then i have “workshops”, like little sandboxes where your Codex link will be used without you needing to link each of those separately.
Right now I’m having an admin-only storage application and storage advisor workshops made; I’ll be able to know everything happening in my remote machine, an AI advisor will recommend things or tell me if shit is fucked and I need more storage, and most importantly, I won’t need to link codex again, but the whole storage thing is a very isolated space for an agent, separate AGENTS.md, skills, etc., and theoretically multiple accounts can use the same sandbox structure

The irony about Pi is that the creator wanted it to be minimal because he found Claude bloated and the system prompt too long and changing too often, but then most people using Pi make it even more bloated than Claude with plugins.
>>
>>109662136
It's not built for you, and that's fine. The target audience here are people who would otherwise want to build their own harnesses because codex, opencode, CC don't suit their preferences. Pi is meant to be a foundation not a finished product.
>>109662098
Yeah that's pretty much the audience Pi is aimed at. If I didn't have a gigantic, standardized workflow for my work I would never use it, but since I do it's better for me to build my harness around my workflow rather than build my workflow around a harness. oh yeah, another good one is to make sure the agent knows the actual use-case for the program. If it understands that you're building a test harness or something instead of production tooling it will be much less likely to futureproof and overengineer everything. Fable is particularly good at tailoring its effort to the actual product instead of immediately assuming that you're a fortune 100 company with those levels of infrastructure requirements. Sol is the opposite, it always assumes that you're building the fucking nuclear first strike launch controls.

it's honestly kinda cool to see a model work well enough even through several compressions and restarts
like I'm testing Nemotron Ultra and I expected this project to fall apart around the 5th prompt but it has managed to implement every feature to spec as instructed, even if it took millions of tokens and countless test runs and fixes and reruns on its end
but I hardly had to tard wrangle it, it did everything on its own pretty much apart from some vaguely worded design decisions that I had to clarify post-implementation but that's my fault for not refining the design doc and build plans further
it's just nice to see it go "now I need to implement X, let me find where (function) is called etc" and it actually does it right instead of falling apart

I always forget that I can do this.

The current datacenters will run on outdated technology soon. Then they will need to be updated. The old hardware will be thrown out. How will they do it?
>sell it to resellers which sell old server components on ebay (good way to get fiber network cards btw) => local models
>low-tier data centers buy the components and provide cheaper services => cheap subs from third party services
>shredder all old hardware because they're scum => keep your claude/codec subscription
>>
Anyone else have Sol using their own subscription? Is that weird?
If I make a service that requires inference, I don’t want to manually test and prompt every time a change is made.
So I give Sol a budget and allow it to use my subscription and say “test until you hit that budget”.
Feels weird, like sharing subscriptions is breaking a rule but I’m sharing it with itself and not another person.

are you really naive enough that you have to ask

>>109662613
are you young or did you forget about cash for clunkers
old hardware will be deemed bad for the environment, shredded, consumers get fucked up the ass forever

>>109662613
Even if they were to throw them out any time soon (very unlikely):
You can't even run a single GB300 unless you have your own power substation and industrial chiller at home.
These aren't your typical homelab gear sweaty

I've heard Nvidia has a contract with them that once the GPU lifetime is over Nvidia buys them back.

>>109662628
You could probably power limit them enough to run at home, at least on 220v countries.

Another Codex reset?
Damn it. I used my banked one earlier today. Though I was already at 60%, kek. Should have checked twitter.

Has anyone made an online chatbot? I vibecoded some machine learning bot for a flash game and tacked on an LLM, but it's incredibly awkward to look at try to make conversation. It doesn't understand sarcasm at all and constantly speaks out of turn.
Funniest part was when it would just trash talk everyone it met despite prompting it as friendly, all because I told it what game it was playing, and it turns out the reddit is full of complaints about trash talkers.

only women and fruity niggas care about chat bots.

if you want fewer compactions switch to Claude or something else with a larger context that doesn’t get retarded quite so fast with a huge context window
and/or use more subagents

What are you guys using to format instructions for debugging/feature additions? Here's my current prefix (i hand-type all the instructions, but this helps it not forget things) Gemini 3.7 Flash is especially great at creating and formatting instructions like this.

Give plaintext agentic instructions for the following;
You will write plaintext steps and boilerplate code pinpointing failure points and the working solution.
Here are the given source files. At the end of your message, you simply list the files i must refer to for the agent, and if there are any files that would be created.
If you are ambiguous about needing another file to improve the instructions, say a cross-reference, say so and i'll provide the source file. If not, simply output the instructions.
>>
>>109664292
*hand-type all the required steps/stuff i want, but this makes it more precise and drastically reduces errors
