Ok well I can tell you one reason why I'm not going to use OpenH3; it integrates directly into the H3 generation in ComfyUI. Just don't like this, 'ate custom nodes. Already thrown me 2 gigantic stack trace errors and my LLM is giving my a list of python commands to debug what's going wrong. I also like to make sure my local LM is unloaded before I generate load any models in Comfy.
Given me the ick, give me a clean separation between prompt and generation any day.

The difference isn't huge at low resolution, I push my 5090 at like 1.4-1.5MP and while tau 0.66 isn't a lot, it's a few minutes gained overall.
Sol attention is sparse attention so not for vram, it's lowering compute at the cost of precision, you can try tau 1 at 1MP to see it more I guess.
