Artix has now decided it will ban people who call out their politically motivated crashout at xlibre.

When you lose the argument ... just ban them!

Metux should fork Artix at this point. It is clear that nous has been compromised.

"politically motivated"? nigga an artix dev was part of the xlibre team until xlibre fucked up and also switching to xlibre caused many bugs to be reported. They switched back to xorg because of those bugs.

Read the Blog post, then the forum thread, then came here to see if there was a thread.

Insane revelation to me that the xlibre maintainer literally doesn't know C or what a XOR is. Also that they're vibe coding shit. I remember all the threads around the time xlibre dropped that the head of xlibre was actually an idiot, but hated Wayland enough to roll the dice and use Xlibre since it first hit the Artix repos. It's been stable enough. I just dismissed the problems I did run into since I know enough about X to fix them myself (and have a bit of an odd stack myself). Figured it was growing pains for an ancient code base on ancient life support. I guess that wasn't the case, and it's vibe coded slop from a guy that doesn't know how to program. Pretty sad to learn this.

Really hope Artix continues to thrive as the best desktop distro. I really don't want to find a new home. I like pacman

nope, youve been a retard here. xlibre is a-political mumbo-jumbo, if he baited you with a right-wing pamphlet, or tolerant left-wing "everybody's allowed to have fun with compukters" equitrium - thats only your problem.

its funny how you retards are prone to such baits. the first question Lunduke should have asked Omarchy is showing bank checks or breifcases with cash to the public. but nope, he rather chews neutrality bubble gum. Lunduke is okay though, he's a journalist, though the one who will never become someone like Cucker Tardson because of inability to ask sharp questions or questions in a sharp way.

trannies also breathe air, are you going to stop breathing air? wtf is your point, wow he has 1 opinion about software that is the same as a tranny he's now a gay tranny lover for life. the idea that you have to agree on every single point with everyone you know is beyond retarded. instead he needs to deliberately ship bad software for ideological reasons

they stopped using xlibre by default because of regressions that weren't being fixed and long beta cycles with back ports for the bugs they did fix not being implemented. if they don't want to use it by default because it causes problems then what is the problem. artix existed before xlibre and they were happy to use it as default before it caused issues. sorry that trannies happen to agree
>>
>it took an entire drama for people to realize that XLibre is and always will be irredeemable shitware
Maybe next time don't use a fork of something that's """based""" (their README going "we totally do not care about DEI we accept all freaks of nature bro") and lead by someone who got the boot from XOrg for good reason.

Also imagine making one mistake months ago and people constantly reminding you of that little mistake that anyone can make.

>When did you last use XOR?
today

you need to use it a lot in low level computer programming

>>109670284
No you don't. You only need & (to check for a bit), | (to set a bit), <<, >> (to move a bit so you can &, | it) and ~ (to remove a bit)
You NEVER need XOR

That's not true, did you even check that? If you define xor as that formula, it will result in wrong results, like 0 xor 0 = 1

a typo or brain malfunction happens. in this picture it's clear the person has no idea what that symbol means outside of a calculator. sour grapes? some of us here can code reasonably well and know what symbols mean in a fucking compiler. and also:

pow(base, exponent);

jesus christ god help that dense fuck
>>
>>109670406
See? Even you got it completely wrong. You would use an expensive pow function instead of 1 << 16.
This is why I say that this is a nothingburger that nobody except tranny autists know.
Your solution is actually worse than Metux's 2^16, because at least that would execute quickly.

You can emulate any mathematical operation with some combination of not and or, but that doesn't mean you should. Also that particular one isn't correct.

a hash function does not have to be cryptographic. if you want a fast, good one, you deliberately won’t be using a hash function resilient against table index attacks in cases where it literally would not matter and you just want speed. regardless, not even knowing about xor reeks of skiddie retard. if you program in C, you have seen a hash function before. this is basic shit
