I installed CachyOS on my MSI Laptop a few days ago. Anyone have any recommendations or places I can go to learn more about Linux and navigating around the system? I'm using Hyprland, which is a little confusing as the window behaviour is a bit unusual for me. I have to Super+TAB before Super+F to put the window in front. Whereas on Windows setting the focus automatically brings said window in front. I'm not sure how to configure that, so anyone helping me with how to set that up would be nice.

>>109666329I don't know man all I know is I started on Mint/cinnamon, tried various builds of Arch and Debian along with every DE that exists, and finally went back to mint/cinnamon.I never had major problems with any of them, but slight annoyances here and there. Arch/cinnamon was a nice combo for me I got it real lightweight, but having the Ubuntu base stability with Mint's quality of life improvements on top is tough to beat for usability and convenience. It used to be the default rec for all new users but everyone decided they need to over complicate things with their stupid opinions.

>>109666640if you stay on that system it might work for some months at best and then it will far apart or keep you busy troubleshooting packages breakages and shitty defaultsinstall ventoy in a 16/32GB USB drive and download the stardand distros and give them a try firstif you are truly new new on linux install ubuntu, uninstall all the snaps in there and leave it "dormant" then install everything you need from regular APT and flatpak and maybe PPA if you are desperate, or just use mint really, if you want to learn ( for real ) then pick fedora and read, its not that hard really
