I still don't see the use case, and I grow increasingly frustrated thinking it will make my job easier, like all the LLM gurus keep repeating, when it never did. None of this people have ever dealt with a real problem. An LLMs code gets messy extremely quick.I am an average code monkey, with down syndrome. I thought LLMs had changed from 3 years ago but no, I just realized I grew dumber from trying to use them. Today I tried to use Opus 5 for a task I was genuinely dumb and lazy enough to not want to worry about, it was a free string input parser to country codes because we scrape shit from everywhere and the data isn't uniform. It took 22 minutes to "think and reason" only to run out of tokens and give me a half-assed paragraph. All the code I ask it to produce ends up convoluted, enormous, littered with comments that trigger migraines. I genuinely don't understand how people say they are pushing 1000s of PRs a day or being hyper productive with this.How is this still a thing? How do people even use this when I'm getting filtered by this so called artificial intelligence?

it's good at boilerplate and some webdev shit, but you still have to control and review its output. it will very fast produce overengineered jeet slop if you're not careful. Or some subtle logic errors cuz it made wrong micro assumptions.the 1000x sloppers are just slopping garbage. >>109667508The secret nobody tells you is it’s still programming. Writing code was always about being able to describe your desired outcome in a structured way. LLMs just change the syntax to natural language. If you weren’t good at describing your desired outcome and the process to get there to begin with you won’t be good with LLMs either.
