That's not a picture of my epic guix workstation tho, fix your thread

>>109668937based anonan os "workstation" should include a unified interface that not only configures your system and home, but can also create and pack environments, containers, and vms and deploy them.
>>109669069Also, an os to be defined as "workstation", it should let you focus on the the "work" and not on tinkering with the bespoke os. Therefore, fedora > guix.
THE linux workstation

Fedora is the only distro that has had thumbnailer problems for me since they stitched things sound in Fedora 43. but it's a huge dealbreaker for me. thinking about installing Manjaro unstable and deleting pamac on a fresh install.
>>109669287ironically, this has been my worst Linux experience while distrohopping. three different installs, each uniquely broken within an hour over the course of giving it new chances every couple months. even Debian sid was a better experience than OpenDEUCE.

>>109669903>One of the worst possible choices.maybe name me three good reasons why you think that instead of shitposting>Research it a bit.I did, which is how I determined to give Manjaro unstable a try. even in the Arch wiki, they say pure Arch has no guarantees of being shipped as a complete product. Manjaro is based on Arch and is engineered to ship a complete desktop product. I haven't used Manjaro for a while, but the problem I had seemed to stem from the packages being held back for weeks. Unstable repo syncs multiple times per day with the main arch repos. ditching Pamac on top of that seems to give me exactly what I want with a fraction of the hassle of piecemealing Arch.

>>109676476this happens because every time someone suggests any kind of standard, plebbit and this board loses its fucking mindIt's always either, "it's not ideal for one party to have all the control" or "It must be picasso-level perfection"
