I feel like it's time to upgrade my big boy table to a big man table. I need some recommendations on what to get. Post your setups. Post your opinions. Post your dream gaymen tables.

I want to learn carpentry. I should become an apprentice on the weekends just to learn and then build my own furniture. Anything that you buy always falls short

The lack of good tables is kind of surprising. Cheap MDF crap with no support. Even if you go for real wood it's a slab on 4 legs. I've even been considering workbenches like this sealey, now that's got some proper support. The only issue is it's not very deep.

it's very satisfying and rewarding work the boards are heavy as shit you'll need a good strong grip but that's something you'll gain through work seems like a bit of a dying trade though everything getting so expensive people just aren't as interested in properly made furniture

I bought my dad a workbench last year for the garden and we still had to build it and even drill all the holes. It was winter and cold but at this fucking point you might as well just make the whole fucking table yourself like man I never felt so scammed but he was happy with his present

I hate it so much, bro. I like technology, but nothing like building something physical with your hands. That's probably why I like writing and building model kits so much

Never buy any of the desks that look like that. Every single one of those "features" has its own little quirk that makes the desk feel lile shit overall.

Take the 3 on the right with their own monitor stands as an example. They're only supported by L-beams. If your monitors are too heavy, that's going to cause the stand to sag and potentially break. Also, if you want to install your own monitor arm, the built-in stand or their support beams are very likely to get in the way (either with the arm installation or its swivel range)

Some other things to note:
>The drawers are ALWAYS cheap flimsy shit that probably doesn't fit right
>The offset height sidedesk of the middle two desks is always awkward and ends up being a waste of useable desk space if you don't put a printer/computer there
>Desk LEDs are pointless. It's some cheap shitty USB strip held on by 3M tape anyways
>Don't trust the chinkshit powerstrips (you should have your own). They also HAVE to be installed, otherwise there's a huge gaping hole
>Usually these "gamer desks" have some shit underneath that your legs will be constantly bumping into
>The desks with thicker "wood" aren't actually solid. They're hollow inside with support beams spread around (i.e. don't ever drop something heavy on the desk unless you want an unfixable hole)

The solution: buy a plain flat rectangular or L-shaped desk without any "features". At most, allow for a cable hole.
>t. anon that's had to learn the hard way after going through multiple of these shitty "gamer desks"

IKEA countertops and filing cabinets. It's a meme, but it's a good one.
>>

2400x800x25 board on top of 4 (four) ikea meme drawers
and none of those retarded monitor stands above eye level or keyboard trays or drawers where knees should be
