How do I avoid my headphone wires doing this, or untwisting them, or a brand that doesn’t do this
This didn’t used to happen with my Walkman headphones back in the 80s. Unfuck this.

Wind them up neatly when not in use. The wires going from the Y split up to each side get twisted like that because something you're doing ends up passing the main part of the cord up and around between the arms of the Y. To undo it, do the same but in reverse.

You could avoid a lot of this by getting any headphone model that has the cord going just to one side. Better still, get one that has a jack there instead of a cord. The cord always seems to be the first thing to die on headphones, and that makes it so you can replace it with any aux cord.

Yes there is. Wireless is ass for gaming.

Just stick them in near boiling water for about 30 seconds about once a year.

They sell these velcro zip ties that come in twin rolls of light gray and dark gray. I love the damn things.

My retarded headphones have some kind of weird plastic wrapped around the cable and the only way to avoid them doing this shit with the strength of steel was to put the plastic part in boiling water
If you never did the same thing then its over, eventually it will come to the original mess that you have now, yet people claim objects have no memory kek
>>
>>109675015
Its the plastic shrinking in the heat which causes this. Once shrunk you have to melt and stretch it out.

By getting headphones that aren't absolute bottom of the barrel dogshit. Any half-decent model has a thick detachable cable that won't twist.

That doesn't cause it to twist like that. Also note how it's completely problem free below the Y split, but immediately twisted up after it.

OP should pass the plug between the ear pieces. From how it's oriented in the picture, putting it from the bottom side through to the top is what it needs to untwist. And from the picture, OP would need to do that about a dozen times, give or take a few, to completely untwist it.

About 15 times seemed to do it.
Still, I know it will twist up again after I use them again. Annoying. I need better headphones.
Thanks everyone.

you need to use replaceable plugs and put a swivel on each end of the plug. i don't know if they sell those though

Here's a way to untwist them once they've already been twisted. Hold the cord from the connector end. Let the headphones hang down. The cord will begin to untwist itself. Eventually, it will stop spinning when untwisted.
