Gimme an Elsheimer-style, or any other German baroque painter, treatment of a scene from the woefully underillustrated myth of Er (any will do, e.g. the one with the three Fates and the cosmic spindle of Necessity). Like, for example: Tenebrism to the max, center it on the glowing spindle as the scene's vertical axis, the Fates illuminated by it while the rest of the scene recedes into darkness, with a group of faintly lit souls emerging from said darkness to choose lives.
