Rails taight me a lot of concepts and I think Rails for a lot of things right. Nut over the years, stuff like turbolinks, removal of sprockets, insistence on deployment only with Docker got me alienated. I couldn't care less about their gay ideas, although the original MVC and REST is solid and useful. ActiveRecord is fantastic as an ORM. DHH got progressively gayer over the years though, I wonder how many dicls does he suck a day, probably a lot, good for him I guess.
