***ALERT***

Pixel 11 series will NOT BE SUPPORTED by GrapheneOS. It's missing a critical security feature (MTE) which is part of GrapheneOS minimum requirements.
>>
Not my problem
>>
good.
I have an 8a.
I will just buy the 10.
>>
>>109680127
When the fuck are they releasing their Motorola phone?
>>
>>109680190
it might never come out.
lenovo is a chink company.
GrapheneOS creator is a Canadian schizo.

will be interesting on how it will unfold.
>>
Really glad I have a Pixel 10 Pro Fold then. Of course, GrapheneOS isn't the last word in anything but have its uses.
>>
>>109680190
Based on 2026 release dates, the Motorola Signature should be released in the end of January 2027. This model will be supported by GrapheneOS, although its not been confirmed if its supported on release. Razr fold and ultra will release a couple months later.
>>
watch them release it for 11 anyway
>>
>>109680190
Next year.
https://grapheneos.social/@GrapheneOS/117136278553665985

And expensive as FUCK.
https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/08/motorolas-grapheneos-phones-will-launch-in-2027-priced-higher-than-pixels/
>>
>>109680190
don't bother
the motorola devices they plan to use will be cucked modern goyoid smartphones (no headphone jack or SD slot)
>>
>>109682239
>No goyim you shouldn't buy this because of a headphone jack
>>
>>109680964
>Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 finally shipped MTE but it's broken on the non-Elite SoC.
Motorola Signature doesn't even use Elite chip to drive the cost down. Sound like Motorola is shooting itself in the foot here.
>>
>>109682318
GrapheneOS was originally planned to release this year on Motorola devices, but wasn't able to because Motorola cheaped out on the SoC and it didn't have MTE. It's kinda ironic because that's the same thing that is happening with the pixel 11. Motorola used the elite SoC in previous years, but decided to cheap out this year.
>>
>removing feature bloat is le bad
it had to happen sometime
>>
>>109680232
They said they are targeting support at release and said they'll direct focus to the motorola project if they drop pixel 11
>>
>randomly dropping support for memory tagging
they couldn't possibly make their phones glow any harder
>>
Should I just get the oldest Pixel I could find then? The fuck is that pricing? I used to make fun of niggercattle who would finance $1000+ iphones as they came out!
>>
>>109683992
Just get a pixel 8 or newer. They all have 7 years of support from release and phones like the 8a or 9a are pretty cheap. Don't get anything older than the 8 series since those phones only have 5 years of support (which is soon expiring for most of them) and no MTE.
>>
>>109680127
google is really the most retarded of fagman by far, it's a miracle that this company still exists given how mismanaged it has been for over a decade now

today i will remind them
>>
>>109680127
Convenient timing. I could tell they were going to drop support because they had been blaming Google for the usual dumb shit that used to get a pass for a while.
>>
>>109686380
You can't use most apps in HarmonyOS. Even Chinese apps.
>>
>>109686388
>you can't use Google spyware in HarmonyOS
and that is a bad thing because...
>>
>>109684103
>no mte
These graphene devs are just outright pulling support for a new feature that most of the lineup doesnt have anyway, that you dont even really need
>>
>>109686398
If you don't care about apps but still want to own a smartphone (?) just buy a Linux phone retard. Why subject yourself to chink crapware?
>>
>>109686414
anon, if you claim to care about security and privacy, but then install Google Apps on your phone, you lost the plot

If you would care about anything you claim to care about, then this wouldn't be an argument.
>>
>>109686423
Linux phones have Google apps on them? Oh shit, I didn't know. I will buy a Huawei with HarmonyOS and watch Ne Zha 1 and 2 on loop for the rest lf the day. Thank you, anon.
>>
>>109686423
He's right though. If you do truly care about privacy, you would neither own nor care to discuss smartphone in the first place.
Why are you here?
>>
>>109686410
Wdym? Every device since October 2023 has that feature, and every device that is older and doesn't have it is out of support within 1 and a half years. MTE is also the reason why they aren't supporting this years Motorola devices. It would be very hypocritical if they would support the pixel 11.
>>
>>109686476
Fair,
I wonder why G even added it in the first place if its not default and nobody used this shit
>>
>>109686449
>if you would care about security, you wouldn't tell people off for lying about security
great argument, anon
>>
>>109686431
your first initial argument was literally:
>apps don't work there
stop pivoting, retard

Of course i would prefer a phone that has an ordinary Linux distribution on it, but they don't work, they are so bad that you sometimes can't even do a phone call with them.
>>
>>109680127
I use xiaomi
its software is decent
>>
>>109680127
fake news.

literally says:
>We haven't determined what to do about this situation. It may be best for us to skip the Pixel 11 series devices
>>
>>109686502
That's not an argument, that's a simple statement of fact. Most apps, even Chinese apps, are not supported on HarmonyOS. That's why mainland Chinese prefer Android and iOS phones.

HarmonyOS is simply behind the Pareto frontier of security, privacy, usefulness and convenience. It's not more useful than a Linux phone or a regular dumbphone if you don't live in China, and it's not more "private".
>>
>>109680127
I guess they have more of a reason to use motorola now.
>>
>>109686380
Funny how all of the claims about GOS are wrong and the biggest point of ANOM (that it was a honeypot) is ignored while sucking off bad person but in china

You'd think Google was the one being sanctioned by the USA, not Wawey

this post glows
>>
>>109686526
if they support pixel 11 without mte, they better backtrack from their decisions to not support sammy galaxys etc. too.
>>
>>109686526
>>109688777
If they support the pixel 11 without mte they'll be the biggest pretentious hypocrites ever. After all the statements they made in the past years they really can't backpedal and support any device without MTE. The second the pixel 8 was released they made it part of their minimum requirements for new devices.
>>
>>109686380
>what are they going to do to you, unless you are living in China?
do not trust this chink shill
>>
>>109688168
it's a lot worse than the graph suggest. lots of games simply do not support tensor's obscure powervr gpu at all.

https://www.reddit.com/r/GooglePixel/comments/1vv2hbz/the_pixel_11_is_actively_incapable_of_playing/
>Because Google cheaped out again by using a PowerVR GPU, the phone literally cannot play certain games from the developer Hoyoverse (IE Genshin Impact ). The gpu is actively not supported by the developer and if you try to play some of their titles you will face a pure pink screen. It is also incapable of playing games like Fortnite, Wuthering Waves, NTE and others except at low settings while suffering constant lags and stutters. These are just the games I've seen tested so far.
>>
>playing games on your phone
>>
>>109689380
Why shouldn't I? There is no technical reason not to.
>>
>>109680127
>de-googlify OS
>forces you to buy a literal google phone
this couldn't end well
