Whenever someone complains about KDE they always bring up some bug I've literally never seen, crashing that I've literally never seen, or say it's missing some "basic" feature that I've literally never heard someone say they want before out of any DE. You're entitled to just like something else better. You don't have to grasp at straws for contrived excuses.
There is no better alternative.

SOMETIMES very rarely do settings get reset or some bug happens but it usually gets fixed. Most recent bug that was solved in a day was the thumbnail preview sizes were reset not staying what you set them too but it was fixed and my settings stuck. However that is bound to happen when I am running cutting edge.
